og and brunson shooting the 3 well but otherwise not great

Let's not forget for whatever reason KAT (or the Knicks) went back to drop coverage.
I figure the game plan was not to allow the Cs to rage to the rim and pick up fouls and play the percebtages that the Cs shootong slump would travel on the road. Gambled and lost.

Brunson can’t guard a lot but has to be in there

MB and OG are supposed to be stoppers. Hart very good or at least a glue defender

A decent portion of the 1.6 ppp was with Mitch in there and even you’d admit we can’t play him 35 minutes … or it just won’t happen

Plus poor offense makes defense worse

No easy answer and maybe no answer

As I sit back and think about the numbers and talent and Thibs, I’d say we are something just shy of almost certainly going to lose the series

Pacers too but maybe slightly less likely

They won't shoot 50% from 3 game 4, gotta play better, missed some easy ones early this game. They will come out with more urgency game 4. I have a sense of calm and truly believe it will be 3-1 Monday night, every, breath

We gotta stop Derrick White. He is the engine of that team. It seems like he makes every open shot damn there.

We did better staying on guys and switching the earlier games. Even when they looked for mismatches. We also helped a lot more this game on defense same for Pritchard.

They only need to shoot like 26% and they would be up 3-0 right now. Other than the Celtics shooting terribly, nothing suggests we should should be winning any of these games. Your confidence is admired but, I'll believe it when I see it. We have played awful this entire playoffs. It is a miracle we have two wins and are even in the second round with the way we have performed.

No, it doesn't. I don't want to go digging through stats, but the offense has been a hoodwink since January.

The starters suck because Josh is in the dunker's spot when really Mitch should be there as KAT helps to space.

The offense has Brunson, KAT, OG, and Mikal and doesn't generate remotely enough 3PAs.

This team plays like a group of friends at the YMCA looking for a run. It just seems like there's a lack of structure on offense. Boston's defense is good but it makes it really easy for them when everyone just stands around.

The offensive spacing this game was dysfunctional. Guys were running into each other, clustering in the paint and clogging the lanes, fumbling the ball, nobody was on the same page.

Again, bad coaching aside, good floor generalship tends to smooth out this level of dysfunction. I still place that responsibility on Jalen, because I've never really expected much in the way of in-game adjustments from Thibs anyway.

Maybe Thibs staff will cook up a better game plan for Monday, because they literally had no plan in place today. The team just punched in and stood around with their dicks in their hands.

It is my consistent critique of this team that we do require a high level of coaching because we lack the kinds of players who can direct traffic and get everyone in sync. Maybe OG does it sometimes on the defensive end, but on the offensive end Brunson spaces out and forgets how to run a team. It is why I was so disappointed that Kolek was not integrated into the rotation. Of all the players on our team, he is the only one who would be able to settle them down and get back to basics.

We'll need a higher hoops IQ from our starters on Monday. It's on them. Thibs is only capable of so much until it falls into their laps.

Wide open misses. Like 56 of them. That's not our doing. It's literally the only reason we won those two games. If they hit 2-3 more shots we are down 3-0. That's how terrible we have played. Thibs sucks.

I’m tired of the team bricking shots to start the game
And come out with no defensive intensity in the first quarters
The game is basically done in one quarter
Barring two miracles
