absolute choke job by the team.

And the missed FT. Towns too.

yeah the missed FT's suck but how do you let a team score 20 pts in a less than 3 minute span.

Great job JB and Thibs

It was like the Knicks didn’t even know he was on the court even till the final foul by OG

I would love a break down of the Nesmith 3s. Hard to tell if so hot that it didn't matter or a lot of defensive break downs. Hart and Deuce Mcbride certainly could've been better..

Yup it made no damn sense we could have played the fouls game but we chose hot potato instead. Awful coaching and awful player awareness. Just disgusting.

Take the next one and then split in Indy. One game at a time. This one is probably going the distance.

I wanted the knicks to come out and PLAY D as they did against Boston. Wtf is wrong with our Knicks Cap?! They keep doing this ****. Stop wasting your talents! I'm so pissed I dont know if I'll watch game 2. I'm not here for the games. Youre in the ECF
-you have a 14 point lead and you let a top 10 shooter go 6-7!?

The Pacers do this to everyone. Just did it to the DPOY. We need to figure out how to stop it.

I'm legit worried about momentum. What lead is now safe for us...we thought our game 1 vs BOS was improbable....then we follow up with game 2.

this was a worse loss then both those blown leads because of how much we were up with so little time.

How does a team score 20 pts in 3 minutes?

The difference is that in tonight’s game we had someone with a over 100 TS% finish the game icing 4-5 threes in a row while also simultaneously having someone else making a game tying shot that bounced 5 feet in the air before going straight in.

Celtics went cold from distance and the Knicks just played well what the Pacers did was historic.

Dumb

But putting JB back in was iffy and we all felt it at the time

OG isn’t a good offensive player. Against the best teams in the biggest moments you want him to be a catch and shoot guy. He’s really been awful in these playoffs and he is a major reason why we lost tonight.

And we need more from Bridges. Period.

OG sucks in the paint unless he’s wide open

And Mitch did absolutely nothing to help us at the end

As much as I hate Thibs, I’m sort of happy for Obi

And frankly the team was awful against Detroit, and keeps leaving the 3 unguarded. So I didn’t honestly let myself fully believe

OG is great when he can take advantage of a smaller defender.

Hart being in the starting lineup puts Siakam on OG and they can leave Nembhard on Hart.

Mitch is in there, Siakam is on KAT instead.

Changes how we’re defended, entirely.

Anyone who thinks pacers win this series is crazy. It’s unfortunate that making the finals will probably save thibs job and we’ll have him against next season but there’s no way we lose this.

I had us in 5 going in. Maybe 6 now after this miracle win they squeaked out

WTF was that man!

We choked and gave the game away.

There’s no way we let our guard down on some of these plays.

Carlisle just outcoached Thibs in every possession.

If we lose this series I don’t know what happens. We got to trade KAT for depth, but he is legit amazing. I don’t think they fire Thibs now…..

Idk this whole thing is annoying cause unlike Boston that were arrogant and on some “we lost, the Knicks didnt beat us”. The Pacers legit beat us. Ain’t no two ways about it.

We got to regroup, but man that was as rough a first game as I can remember.

If we lose this series, I think they strongly consider a coaching change and I think they look at KAT plus parts for Giannis if it’s there.

They are so over invested in this roster - specifically Bridges and Anunoby - that there really isn’t an easy answer and that’s before factoring in all the outstanding, unprotected draft capital out there.

They put this roster together hoping that they could get into the 2nd round for the next 4 years and one year things would line up. This window might not present itself again.

It’s pretty funny that when we absolutely need a score, Thibs is running some play we’ve never seen before to swing it to JB

What

He’s not right

Never too high, never too low. Let's get it.

We’ve seen growth and progress from game 1 vs Detroit to game 6 vs Boston. We can’t say that all ends after game 1 now. Team already is making Knicks history, give them a chance to build more

The only reason Thibs did this is bc so many times the Knicks have been burned by not fouling.

The statistic "994-0 in the NBA" refers to the record of teams leading by at least 14 points with 2:45 left in a game. This means that in 994 instances, teams leading by that margin at that point in the game have gone on to win. The 994-0 streak was broken when the Indiana Pacers had a comeback against the New York Knicks. The Pacers came back from a 14-point deficit with 2:45 remaining, ultimately winning the game.

Anyone who doesn’t think we’re cooked, I envy your optimism.

Yep. I don't get the "it's just 1 game" mentality

Nah, it was a home game where it looked like you might actually win the series comfortably. In no way was this a regular L.

Now it's looking like you are gonna have to scrap for everything again . At best, you might squeeze into a Game 7. But I'm sure just the thought of that makes the players discouraged

This team is running on fumes . I just don't think they have much left in the tank anymore
