Kinda ot, I always wondered does the history of Larry Johnson - Alonzo's Hornets era belong to these Hornets or the Pelicans?

The original Hornets moved to New Orleans and rebranded as Pelicans, so the history and team awards belong to them and not these Hornets (originally the Bobcats), correct?

And the Shawn Kemp - Gary Payton's Sonics era's history and banners (championship, NBA Finals) belong to the Thunder because the Sonics moved to OKC and rebranded as Thunder??? And they're not gonna belong to Seattle if the NBA decides to award it an expansion team even if Seattle decides to adopt the same Sonics team's name because as an expansion team they have 0 years of history?

These confusions, they should not have allowed the Bobcats to change back to Hornets because it makes people think those LJ - Zo Hornets history and team awards belong to these Hornets when they didn't exist back then to have anything to do with them.

Don't hold me to this but i do believe that the current Hornets have the history of the old Hornets and Bobcats. Pelicans are just the Pelicans now.

Me personally I don't think the OKC Thunder should be allowed to have the Supersonics history. It doesn't belong to them.

How does the Sonics history NOT belong to the Thunder? They're literally the same team moved over to OKC and only rebranded their name.

If they had kept the name Sonics instead of changing to the Thunder, then the history would still belong to them???

When Clay Bennett bought the Sonics, he bought the team's history and accolades too... he didn't get to keep the history that to me would be unfair
