He's right

I think the problem is that Towns doesn’t get many calls and then gets frustrated.

No way is he this bad though. This is coaching. KAT has major issues defensively and has some weaknesses offensively but no way is he a 35% from the field type of big man. Hes one of the more efficient scoring bigs in the league and Mike Brown got him looking the worst he’s ever looked in his career. He’s tanking his trade value too

Karl shooting 2 for 12 and committing jackass fouls is not a coaching issue. That is 100% a Karl Towns issue.

Karl was doing this same soft, dumb ass sh*t under Thibs too.

He wasn’t shooting 35% from the field and not involved in the offense and looking disengaged. He was playing like the best big man in the East. He did dumb shyt but he still had positive impact and found ways to dominate offensively. Now he just looks flat out awful on both ends

I understand but he needs to keep his head together and lock in. No one is going to give this team anything free you gotta take it

Karl shooting 19-54, 7-21 from three is a Karl issue. I would say the same if Thibs was still here.

Haven't read the comments yet, don't really give a sh*t, but if KAT is hurting and playing this bad, he should just go ahead and take two weeks off. It's not like the team could look much worse without him.

1-2

Probably lose to the good teams all year again. There isn't enough offensive firepower on the team. Not really.

Ah yes. The "it's all Brunson's fault" analysis.

There was an issue with him and the new system before the season even started. Now he’s shooting career lows. This is not a coincidence and there is direct correlation to the new coach

Remember, this was a championship roster. Only held back by the coach. We’re too good for a mere conference finals. Too stacked. We should have won it all.

Mike Brown is like if realgm was a coach. I mean no disrespect and we all very fine people.

I could criticize the players but we haven’t been doing that for a while now. So no. This is a super team. There’s only one possible reason we can lose

We haven’t looked good in any of the 4 games and are lucky we aren’t 0-4.

Anyway I hope we pull through the early season mess somehow. good luck Knicks.

If the Knicks keep playing terrible I’m going to ask Realgm to bring back all of those redirect spam links to help me read about the team less. I prefer reading about fake antivirus softwares.

And what?

I made a post over the summer of five other Mike's (Malone, D'Antoni, Woodson, Budenholzer, Dunleavy) I would hire before Mike Brown and they hired Mike Brown. If it doesn't work out they still ain't hiring me as GM.

It's a Bucks/Knicks game so I will entertain your KAT/Giannis drama for a moment :D

I still feel like other teams could make a more appealing offer to the Bucks but lets say the Knicks were somehow able to make a KAT + (OG or Mikal) swap for Giannis + Kuzma, how would the remaining roster fit around Giannis? The Bucks have tried to put as much shooting around him as possible for years. How would it work if he was sharing more time on the court with non shooting threats like Mitch, Huk and Hart and well below average perimeter shooters like Clarkson and Kuzma? What does your rotation look like?

I feel like you would have to rebuild half the roster but I don't think any of those guys I listed have any trade value now and we don't have much trade capital outside of that either.

You start with the foundation. If it's KAT+OG+picks then you have JB, Deuce, Mikal and Giannis as the foundation. That's a heck of a foundation. You use the rest of the roster to trade for better fitting pieces and make a run for ~3-4 years. That means guys like Mitch, Hart, and whoever else is left would have to be traded away for shooters and 3&D guys. Shamet could stick around since he fits a bench role.

But how do we trade a constantly injured center or a 6'4 guy who plays like a center and currently has an injured hand for 3 and D players who are some of the most valued players in the league? I don't think I would trade Mikal, OG or even Deuce for any of those guys. I doubt other teams will trade their quality role players for them either.

There is nothing anyone can say to excuse Karl's horrible play last night.

Brown called him out in the media. We're already here after 4 games. I'm over it. He needs to either sh*t or get off the pot.
