With regard to being sued for refusing to rent out to "blacks," that claim is false. He was being sued because he refused to rent out to WELFARE RECIPIENTS. As a business owner, would you want to rent your property out to people who are not working? As a rentor, I would want to rent my property out to someone who has a steady source of income (a good job), someone who is dependable.

I absolutely think that Trump is better for the black community. Since the 1960s (under LBJ), the Democrats have been keeping the black community enslaved with welfare. Below is a good read on that.

I believe in people having the right to guns. I agree that more regulations should be put in place to safeguard how guns are accessed. I believe the purpose of the right to bear arms is rooted in the history of oppressive governments and by individuals having their own weapons, should the government wage unjust war, or lets say a tyrant was brought to power, individuals would have the capacity to defend themselves.

While certainly guns provide a method for individuals to act with hostility on impulse, this does not mean we should all be sitting ducks should "the system" truly fail.

in that case its a George Miller script and the guns won't be to defend yourself against Agent Smith but marauders looking for food and gasoline

The problem is that anecdotal evidence is not meaningful. There are plenty of anecdotal arguments to say the son of an electrician became a doctor in this country. It does not run contrary to the fact that both Switzerland and the US have high wealth disparities. Therefore, to say that the Swiss system is superior is false. Furthermore, Switzerland is a small country of 8 million people with easily controlled borders and highly subsidized domestic industries. Economic structures that works for smaller countries such Singapore and Lux do not translate to large countries like the US. Not all industries are scalable and to create GDP per capita for a country of this size means a massive gross GDP figure. It's no small economic miracle that the US has been able to innovate to the degree that it has to achieve its overall average wealth. This doesn't happen with immigration of both skilled and unskilled. That fact seems to be lost on you.

Anecdotal evidence is what it is. Switzerland has a significantly lower Gini coefficient than the US.

As for the scalability - Switzerland has many of the world's largest companies, including Novartis, Nestle and many more, but that's besides the point.

The debate here is about unskilled immigration. There are two ways to look at it - in the time series, i.e. look at how changes in immigration affected the economy and in the cross-section, i.e. compare different countries with different immigration policies. In both cases, your going to see that unskilled immigration has the same effect on native workers - wage deflation and unemployment. Holding all else equal, unskilled native workers in countries which do not allow a lot of unskilled immigration do better.

I discussed the theory behind this in previous posts and the empirical evidence will give you the same result.

I'll just say this, the economic evidence to say whether introducing unskilled labor has a positive or negative impact on the economy is far from conclusive among those who study it as their sole profession. You can pick and choose the research you choose to believe, but the choice of study is more politically and emotionally driven than any rational decision making process. The Gini coefficient is not just about income distribution, there is one for wealth distribution as I alluded to earlier.

Think of it - the vast majority of illegal immigrants in this country come from South America. So what happens when you see a person of Latino origin in the street? You automatically assume he's either illegal or unskilled.

See that? That is called "racism". It's ignorance in its most blatent form because you ASSUME that EVERYONE thinks the same way you do and hence this is NORMAL, which is clearly untrue. Because you hold these beliefs and other anecdotal pieces of information you have grown to hold as truths, you will have a tough time living in this modern world outside your own bubble. If there's any take away you should have, is that there is always a chance that any long held belief might just be wrong and to keep an open mind and open eye towards new information.
