For those playing along at home (please correct any mistakes):
I have (using Sportrac figures and dates of 10 July for renouncing the non-guaranteeds), and Cap total as $109m,
Nets_dead + Dinwiddie + Prince + Harris + LeVert + Allen + Musa + Kurucs + 5*VRC = $40,327,708
Sign Durant and then take off one VRC (vacant roster charge)
Nets_dead + Dinwiddie + Prince + Harris + LeVert + Allen + Musa + Kurucs + Durant + 4*VRC = $77,580,550
Cap total - ( Nets_dead + Dinwiddie + Prince + Harris + LeVert + Allen + Musa + Kurucs + Durant + 4*VRC ) = $31,419,450
Irving - ( Cap total - ( Nets_dead + Dinwiddie + Prince + Harris + LeVert + Allen + Musa + Kurucs + Durant + 4*VRC ) ) = $1,280,550
So they seem to be about $1.3m shy of being able to sign Irving and Durant.
(I'm not sure where the disparity lies. If they don't waive the non-guarantee contracts of Napier and Graham that adds another 1,696,342, which is very close to $3m (2,976,892) - so perhaps the calculation in the tweet includes Napier and Graham and perhaps has a few "back of the cigarette packet calculation" rounding errors.)
It isn't clear to me how they really set about freeing that $1.3m space.
Deleted: erroneous musings about Musa. (To waive and stretch anyone to get that amount it would have to be Prince - which seem non-ideal.)
I read the Nets board thread on the trade last night (all 4 pages of it

), and several people seemed to think that the Nets might try to trade Dinwiddie for a first round pick and salary relief (or a player and relief) - not sure if that is credible.
