Y'all really still fall for these workout videos every summer?

The ONLY guy I can ever recall making videos during the summer shooting jumpers when he previously couldn't and went on to actually shoot them in the regular season was Camby. I too don't take these vids seriously at all. I'll believe it when I see it.

Re-sign Precious and keep that MLE until the deadline to pick-up a playoff caliber backup C who gets cut (to make cap space) becomes available

Happy he is putting the work in but it's rare to see a guy who basically doesn't shoot during games 2 or 3 years in suddenly start shooting in games. Mitch Rob is a great example.

Exceptions can happen but playing the percentages we still need another Center pretty badly.

I really hope we pull off one of Kessler or Richards and then a vet PG that is a strong ball-handler to back up Brunson (until Kolek is ready)

thibs doesn't want centers camped out on the 3 point line because he wants them in position to rebound. sharty shitenstein just said it to the press. why do you think the names we hear the knicks are interested in are guys who rebound not hit 3s. get it together realgm.

makes sense however there’s no way you can tell me mitch who shoots like 40% from the ft line wold be a high percentage 3 point shooter if allowed to let it fly

This is why Kessler has more value to us than Utah. Utah wants to play more 5 out. We want our Center underneath the basket on offense. Will we work something out is the question. I would think that both Dadiet and McBride have pretty good value to Utah. Will Ainge take a 'fair' offer?

thibs very much values offensive rebounds...that has been clear since day 1. That is the type of big we value...he wants rim protection and 2nd opportunities with his centers. I'm sure he doesn't mind them having some kind of passing ability but shooting ability doesn't seem to be high on the list for a thibs center.

Keep in mind we can not sign a waived player who was earning more than the MLE (hard capped into first apron).

If we want to be able to have Precious on the court at the 5, we need a Serge Ibaka at C

In thoery Marks probably wasn't going to take a "fair" offer for Mikal but we got it done. So there is always a possibility depending how bad we want Kessler.

Also Utah and Ainge are in a tricky spot...there roster currently isn't set up to be a tanking team...and they owe there 1st round pick to OKC if they aren't bad enough

UTA's 1st round pick to OKC protected for selections 1-10 in 2025 and 1-8 in 2026 (if UTA has not conveyed a 1st round pick to OKC by 2026, then UTA's obligation to OKC will be extinguished) [OKC-UTA, 7/30/2021; OKC-UTA, 1/4/2022]

Ainge certainly doesn't want to give up a valuable asset for the next two years...so he can play hard ball but if he continues down this path of not making deals or just treating the good players on his team poorly in terms of development because he wants losses at the end of the year players will leave.

There's a ceiling on this team then, it's that simple. The Warriors don't win titles without Draymond pulling the opposing center away from the rim, the Bucks never win a title if Brook Lopez is camped in the paint clogging driving lanes for Giannis. It's not 1994 anymore, you're hurting your own team in the long run if you aren't versatile. This is why we haven't seen much of Randle at the 5, despite the fact that should be a very real option against a lot of teams.
