Isola basically calling Knick fans pussies for letting LIN off the hook about not playing in the playoffs

It pains me to say this but Isola is actually making a lot of great points on WFAN right now. He's also nowhere near as obnoxious as his twitter persona. If he was like this more often he wouldn't be so loathed by the fans.

i suspect the knicks will match lin.

i also think they see him as a two guard - at least for large stretches. he's undersized, but other than that, he's got great ability to get to the hoop and also has an improving shooting game.

i guess the knicks taking on all these contracts just means they're going all-in for the next three years. to hell with the luxury tax. (though, i would have expected landry back in that case).
anyhow, if the knicks going all-in with linsanity, there should be enough interest and, therefore, revenue, generated to keep shoes on dolan's kids feet.
I dunno.

I think the knicks f*cked up here...

but if houston comes with this offer originally, instead of playing a game on the knicks, I think NY signs immediately..

it just played out in a messed up way

Not a move we recover from -- either for the roster or for the fans. It'd be the end.

I've been a fan since '83 but even I could go no further.

Are you kidding?

I'm absolutely not kidding.

And u shouldn't be KS... Enough is a freaking nuff! And I'm tired of explaining it to fellow fans...

Isola did bring up a good point about Ewing playing at 85% and the Knicks fan base accepting Lin not playing during the playoffs.

we are giving out 3 year contracts left and right for a lot more money than guys are worth. we do not care about money. if we were worried about the luxury tax, we wouldn't be doing any of that, we would be getting vet minimum guys. i think we match this.

Does matching Lin make us a better, deeper basketball team? Yes

Does matching Lin make sound financial sense? Probably not

What does Dolan care about more, winning or $$$? Figure that out and you'll get your answer.

So the fact that MSG stock cap went up 600million dollars after Linsanity hit doesn't factor into your that keeping Lin makes fiscal sense? 600 MILLION DOLLARS!!!!!!

Ewing had already made huge dollars... established his name in the league which would've guaranteed work somewhere else.. Lin didn't have those luxuries.

I give Lin a pass too at the stage he's at in his career...

Ewing, Grant Hill, B. Roy all these guys would have been smarter and healtheir had they done what Lin did.

Don't take chances with your career and livelihood

I don't understand Melo fans...Do they really think Felton/JR/Melo/Amare/Chandler with Kidd/Camby off the bench is getting their favorite player a championship? And this coming from a huge Melo fan already.

How anyone can even begin to type this out is beyond me... if it was about fit and balance Grunnie would be trying to deal Amar'e or Melo.
