We're quick to place judgement on kids as if they were completed projects. I pointed out some rookie stats of players that became all stars although they sucked year one and two. Heck most of us felt like Tyson Chandler would never make it and Chicago fans were ready to toss him.
We've been crying about defense for years at guard after watching Calderon, Duhon, THJ. Crawford, JR, Eisley, Anthony Carter, Bibby, Felton. Now we have a top ten defensive guard and because he's not shooting up to your standards you want him gone.
Tyson had a 13 PER out of HS. 16 PER in his 2nd season when he was a year removed from HS. Allan Houston is literally the only NBA player to ever be as bad as Knox and end up good, and he was good in college at least. Knox wasn't good in college, and is legitimately approaching worst NBA player ever level.
And just because we wanted defensive players at G doesn't mean we want possibly the worst offensive G in league history.
