Bernard King did NOT play in the ECF in a Knicks uniform. King didn't ever play in a conference finals period.

Only other years he made the playoffs were in 78-79 (NJN, 1st round loss), 87-88 (WSB, 1st round loss) & 92-93 (NJN, 1st round loss).
So Melo had more playoff appearances as a Knick and got as far.
Sniff sniff
Unfortunately, you have no clue how great those teams were that BK had to go up against. it wasn't the trash that Melo had to play against. Both those series against the Pistons and Celtics were EPIC!!!!! No way doesn't Melo get past the Pistons in the first round, let alone win one game against those Celtics who were all in their prime.
That's an opinion. Like the opinion that King wouldn't win one game against LAL with Kobe & Pau in their prime.
The fact is he got as far as Melo did here. For some reason it was ok when he did it, but it's held against Melo.
How about we say the truth?
We had our most success in a decade plus with this guy.
We can't even come close to replicating that given his decline & the many many many many many bad transactions this franchise has done since he's been here.
He needs to go.
We need to move on.
Agreed.
