I'd pay a good price for that.

We should be looking at guys that fit the description of guys we probably can't get. Who would that be?

I mean guys (and most probably you) thought we couldn't get OG, Mikal, Brunson, or KAT so...

I didn't think we could get OG/Mikal. Irrelevant but, whatever. So who should we get?

They were trying to collect the loss vs the Nets but they won, which I'll assume they considered an unfortunate turn of events.

I think they are in the process of gift-wrapping us Kessler and Sexton.

While I really got the others right, in hindsight, I was so wrong on Brunson, wow.

1) We thought we could not get these players because of their supposed lack of availability and some bad blood among some of the franchises and the Knicks.

2) Right now, we do not have the assets to get a good player (without giving some of the 6 core players) and we can't carry any more salary to not hit the second apron. It is a mathematical impossibility.

The guys we gave up to get them have exponentially more value than what we can give up now to get the guys you mentioned

Back to your point. We should get players like guys you don't think are available. So what players could we get like that?

He didn't mention guys we could get. He said we should get players like those guys.

Leon’s guys are turning over every rock. We need Mitch and a legit 2-way wing off the bench that Thibs trusts to take the next step as a team. We have enough assets to get a good bench player. I’m sure we’ll try…

Agree to agree. Until we make a trade we need our bench healthy and making a contribution. It is the weak link with Thibs trust/rotations and injuries magnifying things. I am more than confident with the starting 5. I have faith in Deuce off the he bench. A healthy Mitch is exactly what we need and we could use a bigger wing than we have. Plus time to put it all together. Healthy Mitch is the gamble.

Need that bigger wing for sure. Bigger than Shamet more fluid than Precious

hey

what about Trey Lyles in SAC?

6'9 3-pt shooting PF who is at least an average rebounder

I'd offer Sims, Achiuwa, and a 2nd round pick or two

Achiuwa may be a better player, but is he a better fit for what we need?

We need all the floor spacing we can get, especially when we get Mitch back and come playoff time

It would be absolutely insane to pair KAT, Zion, and Brunson together on the defensive end. It's one of those "crazy enough to work" situations...

But, in theory, Bridges + Mitch for Zion + scraps could work if you get a 3rd team involved to grease the cap limits.

Zion
KAT / Precious
OG
Hart / Deuce
Brunson / Payne
