So, for those of us taking depositions all day today -- anything going on in the NBA since last night?

quick question...what if we were to ship billups to dallas for a re-signed chandler then the mavs amnesty billups, could we pick him back up? i know if we amnesty billups we cannot but in this situation it would be the mavs doing it.

Certainly sounds like the deal is contingent upon finding a suitable trade partner for Turiaf. However, makes absolutely no sense to announce a Chandler trade without having a few options on the table, so I imagine we're going through each and making the final decision on which option to take.

it's entirely possible we might be getting a 2nd round pick or something for turiaf. it would have to be a team with an exception. there's a few of those with enough room to absorb his salary.

What I've heard about Chandler is it's going to happen. Knicks have other moves to make, though.

IIRC Kobe is the only guy in the league with a no-trade clause.

When Dalembert gets a 4 year $40+mil deal you guys will feel better.

MAkes no sense for Dallas to take back Billups or anyone else. I'm sure they'd rather not pay a backup pg $20mil....since I think they'd be in luxury tax territory

Is it a done deal that we will be able to trade Turiaf??? Unlike the Lakers, no one ever helps us out!

Ask yourself people, why would the Mavs waste their amnesty on Billups when they could just force us to use our own?

Anthony Carter had one, his deal expired now though.

What is the incentive for Dallas? Waste the amnesty for nothing?

Really, there's no other play except that we amnesty Billups. Unless we give up Fields or something else of value to make it worth there while...which i wouldnt do.

No we didn't, it would be like what happened to Big Z a couple of years ago.
