Any trade ideas? Jordan and Matthews
Honestly Jordan and Matthews will look good near a KD, Kyrie, JJ Redick, Zion etc.. always need guys to do the dirty work....
Are we able to resign to go over the cap if we keep them and use the two max slots? If true... then If I was PerryMills I'll be talking to them saying we will give you a good contract we are building a Championship team and want you guys to be apart of it.
The East is Weak

Nope, we would have to renounce their cap hold. Given where we are and the team we have, I don't see keeping either of them, although I do think they both have value.

So here is a question, would you accept Brown and the best two (of three) 1RPs from Boston to take on Hayward's contract in exchange for expirings? It would cost us two years of a vastly overpaid Hayward, but get us Brown and 2 top 20 FRPs, and we would still have upwards of 40 mil for free agency.

Could also see Jordan going to Milwaukee for George Hill and their 1st rounder (protected 1-25), then a separate trade of Mudiay for Jason Smith. Smith gets waved, Hill gets waved next year. Milwaukee seems much stronger with Jordan anchoring the middle and Brook Lopez coming in for spells when they need scoring.
Not sure who wants Wes... Possible we simply buy him out.
"Dumping" Lance Thomas' 1 mil guaranteed would also be a good return for me. Every dollar will count this summer.
Maybe. I still see it as doubtful we get the big free agents - as they would be coming to a team where just about every player is on a rookie contract. We're not close enough, and few of the big free agents are young enough to build around long term. I just hope we don't give out more THJ contracts in an effort to 'do something.'
Then the trade was useless since we should have just let C. Lee expire out naturally and use THJ as a valuable expiring contract.
I agree no more THJ type contracts though. We really need to trade for a star to attract two more stars

The more I think about it, the more I like this direction.
Looks like you may have to amend your sig.

Ok so I guess more moves to come... hopefully we are not just waiving them. So far not too much news on that front.

We sign KD/Irving to the Max. And if we land the first pick, I hold onto it, because more entertainment value and a home grown player to groom, Zion with these guys would be astronomical.
I trade DSJr + Damyean Dotson + Kevin Knox + 2020 First to Washington for Bradly Beal. One it relives cap for Washington, and then the Wiz looks to trade John Wall for a total rebuild, and rock with DSJr as their starting pg.
Kyrie Irving | Frank Ntilikina
Bradly Beal | Allonzo Trier
Kevin Durant | Free Agent
Zion Williamson | Free Agent
Mitchell Robinson | Luke Kornet

It would be amazing... but Beal cap dollars won't fit under cap... trade can't happen

Think there's any chance Phoenix might be interested in Smith Jr. for Bender and a future pick? Should be trying to stack as many assets as we possibly can.

How could we fit AD? Because there’s rumbles we can fit AD, KD, and Kyrie. Because we’d be dealing Zion I assume?Bklyn&company wrote:Kristaps6_NYK wrote:We sign KD/Irving to the Max. Is it possible to land AD in a trade after signing KD and Kyrie? Does that work cap wise?

Parson + JJJ for our first if we don't get Zion or KD? Or for DSJ + that unprotect DAL pick if we do get Zion

Memphis loves JJJ. Unfortunately, he is not going anywhere.

I know...but lemme daydream about the clippers sending us their next available FRP for eating Gallo; Boston sending us the Kings, Clippers & Grizzlies picks for sending them that Gallo deal for Hayward; using the Kings & Clippers pick to trade up for Zion; and then eating Parsons to turn that Memphis pick into JJJ...
...before flipping DSJ & Parsons for Bridges, Batum & a protected pick; finally trading up for Cole Anthony or one of the other elite PGs in 2020...

JJJ | Mitch | Kornet
