They're going to nearly have a billion dollar payroll when it's all said and done

So that being said do the Celtics know something that everyone else doesn't? Because I'm pretty sure the 2nd apron is going to hinder them

If we all keep subscribing to our home teams' streaming services and clicking on ESPN videos, it's going to be sooner than any of us could have imagined. Of course, when the cheap seats go for $250/game, very few of us will ever get to see a game in person again.

Part of why Knicks fans travel so well.. a hotel, game, and a spirit ticket can be cheaper than going to MSG..

2nd apron doesn't mean anything if that FO is comfortable with their core and their all signed for a couple of more years (rotation of 1 thru 6 is set). And them handing out big contracts to Holiday and White -- big time role players -- is probably going to look appealing in a couple of years for the next crop of high value free agents when those 2 players are on the decline. Smart move on Boston's part. The risk there, though, are injuries. They already have a thin front court with KP out until January and Al pending a sharp decline. So when that happens, they'll be bargain basement shopping, too.

Boston ownership is looking to sell

It's literally just them being like "f*ck it, we're not gonna be the ones to have to pay for this" lol

the new owners will probably have to break this team up. i heard some pundits saying that they don't think they'll keep this team together for more than another year or 2.

So who is the team loyal to? Not ownership and probably not to the front office. Either they love the fans or themselves.

I mean, starting next year they'll have almost 110 million dedicated to two players. Then another 90 million dedicated to three more. So probably.

The new cap rules are definitely not conducive to teams sticking together.

They'll probably shed KP (injury risk) and/or Jrue (age) at some point...
