Honesty I don't believe Towns is not ready but thats for us to discover. Towns meanwhile makes Monroe less of a liability defensively. Before anyone says he sucks look at his win shares.

I almost would be okay with Greg Monroe. I am biased though since he is from Georgetown and something sounds right about a Georgetown center here... It would be cool to get Hibbert though with Towns. Talk about a tall front court.

Any chance Rockets do a trade for Calderon/Beverley?! If we give Beverley 6 mill or something. Would be a perfect addition to the backcourt.

I like both Okafor and Towns...I like Towns a little more but want to see more from him. On my draft board, Okafor is still first. Want to see how Towns play against Wis/Kaminsky, though I think Calipari is going to have WCS on Kaminsky more. And hopefully a Okafor vs. Towns for the Championship! Epic!

Still would love to trade the potential #1 for a young star player, ex. DeMarcus Cousins (cmom Cousins pull a Melo and demand a trade to NY)....

Sign me up for the extra 7 mil Calderon would open up. **** move THJ too while we're at it. We may not sign any big names but I'd rather have the option than be limited by two guys who got outplayed this season by Gallo and Shved

His Injury scares me. Would rather get home town Danny Green.

Like that someone brought up Bynum would be a grean under the radar pick ups. Can play for and old teammate in Fisher start over on a team t hat wont depend on him but at the same time give him a platform to make a comeback and contribute in a system he is familiar with. That will be big having players already acclimated to the system.

what is so funny about that? rudy is just flat out good. He's 22 years old, 7'1 with a PER of 21.77 in just his second season. heck he's averaging 9.2 boards and 2.3 blocks in 25 freaking minutes per game.

his last 5 games (via espn) : 14.4 pts 13.6 rebs 2.8 blks with 61.5 % FG. And he will make a laughable 1.175 mil next season.

I actually think utah wouldn't make that trade...

Wow, imagine if we had Gobert right now instead of THJr. I can see Gobert reaching DeAndre Jordan status as early as next season.

That being said, I would not trade Towns and to a lesser extent Okafor for him. If we fall out of the Top 2, I don’t see the Jazz being willing to attach their pick to make that trade. Utah will be better off drafting Jerian Grant (Notre Dame) and keep Gobert rather than trade both of them for Emmanuel Mudiay or D’Angelo Russell.

The idea of a Karl-Anthony Towns and Greg Monroe front-court with Melo on the wing is really growing on me. If we can get a back-court of:

(Danny Green or Arron Afflalo)/Tim Hardaway Jr.
Alexey Shved/Jose Calderon/Langston Galloway

to start the season with that front-court we should look really good pending three things...

1. Melo's health
2. Towns development
3. Fisher's job as a coach
Disclaimer: Trades I post shouldn't make you stressed or angry if you disagree. If you say it's unproductive because it won't happen and we're only allowed to post deals that actually happen, it takes away 99% of trades here and the fun out of the board.

Side note: Don't know how credible it is so take it for what it's worth, not saying there is any form of fact to this, but...

A guy I work with has a friend in Danny Green's inner circle and when he told me this I said Danny Green is actually a guy I want in NY this summer and he told me it won't happen because Green is turned off by James Dolan and how he runs the Knicks.

Again, this is from a guy that knows a guy so take it with a total grain of salt, but just wanted to share it as something I heard.

Would you be interested in also adding Harris as a sixth man and Bynum as a reclamation project. This under the pretense that Phil can dump both Calderon and THjr draft night.

That would suck hopefully a good draft night plus the acclamation of a solid young pieces (Monroe, Harris) plus a good check can be enough ammo for The Zenman to get him in a Knicks uniform.

Personally I like Bynum and Harris, but Harris would be a tough add because teams in good cap situations like Orlando would rather overpay a young piece like Harris than let him go for nothing. So ultimately, we would need to overpay both financially and in terms of what we give up which I don't see happening.

If we draft Okafor, I really want to trade for Taj Gibson. If we draft Towns, Monroe wouldn't be a bad option.

You might be completely right about Harris but for the right price he would be great.

The off-season I see if we land the first overall draft pick:

Draft Karl-Anthony Towns
Re-sign Cole Aldrich, Andrea Bargnani and Alexey Shved (using cap space and cap MLE)
Sign Greg Monroe, Arron Afflalo and Andrew Bynum

C-Karl-Anthony Towns/Andrew Bynum/Cole Aldrich
PF-Greg Monroe/Andrea Bargnani
SF-Carmelo Anthony/Cleanthony Early
SG-Arron Afflalo/Tim Hardaway Jr.
PG-Alexey Shved/Jose Calderon/Langston Galloway

That team has solid depth, a good starting five and should be able to compete in the East if 'Melo is what we paid him to be.

Once we know what draft pick we have, Phil will have alot more options.
If you he knows its his choice between Okafor and Towns, he can scour the trade market to find a complimentary bigman to match them.

I wouldn't mind that offseason (it would be solid assuming we weren't in play for any of the big FA or RFA) but I would prefer to sign Danny Green over Afflalo.
