And health. Zion and Timelord can't help from the bench (where'd they be most of the time). OG (our best defender) is also injury-prone.

The thing is, Robinson coming back now able to play extended minutes would solve many of our problems...but the timeline keeps changing and changing. (Early February now....)

This is so frustrating. We're a healthy shot blocker and an additional bench player with serious offensive skills away from being a real contender. But that's in addition to McBride and Precious, not replacing them...and I just don't see how this is going to happen during this season.

Go get it done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Idc how!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As long as it’s no for Brunson or Kat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really don’t want him here.

Quoted for truth. He's fat, lazy, makes Brunson look like a mixture of MJ and Pippen on defense, is always injured/incapable of playing an entire season...and will single-handedly cause food prices to jack up throughout the city. None of this is worth what we'd have to pay/give up to get him. Hard pass.

:rofl2:

Hey, OG for Zion lemme get Theis, and Hawkins on the side. For your troubles, you can have our last FRP (WAS) Sims and Dadiet
KAT/Mitch(Theis)
Zion/Precious
Bridges/Hart
Hawkins
Brunson/Deuce

Hawkins playing the Donte role :droop:

Val is great offensively but pretty terrible defensively. Not sure he'd help much in the playoffs against the top 3-4 teams. Saddiq Bey hasn't played so far this season?

I agree with this, but at least Thibs would likely play him in the regular season (giving our core 6-7 guys a bit more rest moving into the postseason). Assuming health, I think the fact that we really only go 7-deep with top talent will matter less in the playoffs because most teams shorten their rotations then. This said, we somehow have to get this core safely to the playoffs, which I don't see happening with everyone playing this amount of minutes.

Hart on the block according to this clickbait heading. But then the article details nothing but reasons why he won't be traded

Could New York Knicks Trade Josh Hart? https://search.app/JXx3Aysqraf4x4MT6

Thibs won't play him anyway. I wonder how Mitch is going to crack the bench rotation now. Thibs has it locked up with 2.5 players never getting any consistent run.

I don’t think New York wanted Richards. If that’s all it took to get him, he would’ve been a Knick a long time ago. They’re probably eyeing players that we don’t know about

Yeah, once you've earned Thibs' "trust," you're guaranteed playing time for basically life. The problem then seems to be to get him to stop playing you (in cases of exhaustion and/or injury...).

Mitch is going to clean up a lot of our defensive issues. He’s been out for so long that folks have forgotten about his impact on the team. He’s an elite rim protector, rebounder, and shot blocker. Mitch will allow OG and Mikal to focus more on the perimeter while Mitch guards the interior. Right now OG and Mikal are forced for cover for KAT, Brunson and Hart and it’s wearing them down. Our offense will take a hit but our defense is going to improve immensely.

I agree Mitch will help but, we had Mitch before and the results are still the same. Sag off of the perimeter to help. Nothing has changed except we have better defenders running themselves ragged trying to run the scheme.

And then create offensive issues which negate the defensive positives
