Btw, my player to watch this spring is Rafael Montero. He might be able to break through.

I've given up all hope on him. Dude nibbles way too much. I think he's actually scared to throw a strike. He just doesn't seem to trust his stuff. But I hope you're right.

You're high on Vargas? I really haven't followed his career. Was last year a fluke? I understand that he pitched for us at one time.

I wouldn't say I'm high on Vargas, but I do think he can be the Tom Glavine version that we had. Nothing to write home about, but just a solid pitcher. The fact that spring training has started and he was tied for the lead in wins last year goes to show how crazy this market is. Lights out first half last year, a tough rough stretch and finished solid. He's back from Tommy John and should be ready to go. Never hurts to have another lefty on the staff.

Check out Vargas's "Projection" for 2018. Not bad.

Smith strained his quad today, probably sprinting to get to work on time or trying to beat someone to the buffet line.

Gsellman looked good yesterday. His sinkers were sinking again and he was running the ball inside on righthanded batters. I'm telling you, this team is very deep and talented.

I think Cecchini is finally going to break out. The kid can flat out hit.

Are you a poster on AA? What's your handle? Mine is "The Glider."

No I never have posted over there. Cecchini put on a lot of muscle this offseason and his arrival would be encouraging but we're deep even without him. The key to our season may come down to keeping our big three outfielders healthy. Bruce has plantar fsdciitis which can linger, Conforto isn't ready and Cespedes has more DNPs than home runs. I really like our pitching a whole lot!

The Glider? Can you bat leadoff and steal a base?

Calloway batted Cespedes second today in the lineup and he said that he might be doing more of that. Can you imagine a lineup of Conforto leading off, Cespedes batting second followed by Bruce? That's just scary.

Only as good as Ed Charles. That was his nickname. And his saying was "Never throw a slider to The Glider."

I think that the Mets will be better than the Yankees this year. There, I said it.

You know I love you, right? Step inside my office for a second.

Spoiler:
Dude, WTF are you doing? It's 162 game season. That's a long time my brother. Trust me on this. I did this in Philadelphia times 10 with gasoline poured on top. I am your Metsus Christ. Please reconsider. Besides, the Yankees will be fun to watch. We already have 6 players with injuries after 3 games. ALREADY, IT'S HAPPENING!!!!

I heard the three bozos on WFAN that replaced Mike Francesca saying yesterday that Swarzak had injured his pitching hand, which was totally untrue. These three are constantly bashing our Mets and I want it stopped! Who should I call?
