Unless Ujiri is even dumber than he looks (and wants Luke Walton instead) what other choice were there have been from the Lakers? Once you get past Kobe and Gasol (guys you know they aren't dealing) the only other player that makes even the remotest sense is Bynum. And, like the Knicks, the Lakers get dragged into a load of trades as leverage.

quote="GONYK"]I am significantly more interested in Dolan's involvement than I am over some BS Laker rumor.[/quote]

Exactly, if Dolan is Involved, it's a pretty good assumption that these talks have gone serious. I know he takes alot of criticism and I'm not about to defend him now, but he is at least willing to spend money. Got to believe that he's in these talks now, because Denver wants the Knicks to take on big time salary. This can only be good news. Something mee friends is definitely brewing!

Could be that Curry missed lunch and...well...short of an APB...we're going to miss you Anthony. :(

No story here.

Curry ate Randolph and Chandler is pulling an Al Cowlings transporting Curry in an eighteen wheeler.

Why is Curry even showing up for practice on other days? What's the point?

Clyde_Style wrote:I've never used the term "Fake Hustle" before, but we will now have to endure an endless stream of bile and putrescence from the sports writers until a Melo deal is done.

They will report on anything now. So what if the Lakers talked to Denver. Who wouldn't take a call from Denver right now? It doesn't matter what is even vaguely realistic. The writers will report every real and imaginary scrap they can.

THE SPORTS MEDIA IS IN THE FEAR BUSINESS, just like most news organizations are these days, and our Knicks fan base is more than willing to be patsies and worry themselves to death over every little scrap they feed you.

Have fun worrying about Denver taking on an expensive and very fragile center when they clearly want to free up salary. But it was in the news!

Have fun worrying about Isiah after a Knick hater like Isola lubes you up for his latest installment of The Inevitable Return of Zeke. And you thought the Saw movies were scary!

Have fun worrying about a report that Dolan talked to Denver. He owns the fricking team and would be putting up another giant wad of cash to get Melo, but hey he is automatically going to ignore Walsh and gut the team because according to the writers Isiah is the one really calling the shots. Booooooooooorrrrrinnnnnngggggggggggggggggggg

You only have about two weeks at most, so enjoy the fear and constipation while you can.

At this point, there couldn't possibly be a trade of just Curry & Randolph.

I don't think we should underestimate the Lakers in this. They could very well swipe Carmelo right from under our noses.

They could, but Denver would have to go against EVERY SINGLE REQUIREMENT they laid out for a Melo trade for it to happen

Guys .... calm down. We hired Warkentien who knows Kroenke better than anyone. It is very likely that he advised the call and how to approach the conversation.

I've been saying all along that Ujiri and Denver Management don't know what they are doing.

Look it was reported in the Denver Post that Ujiri believes that Melo's value will go up as the deadline approaches and more teams will be willing to pay more to get him.... LOL

This is the same Ujiri who believed that he could jerk the Nyets around and that they would serve as leverage .... NOT

Ujiri has made some terrible strategic decisions all thru this.... I'm betting the call to Kroenke was advised by Warkentien and it was designed to find out what Kroenke really wants.... thus bypassing the BS posturing of Ujiri.....

Have Faith in DW..."The creator has a master plan.... NBA championships for every Knick fan"

 :D  :)

alanhahn

While Curry/Randolph absence from practice raises antennae, should be noted Wilson Chandler was present and went thru entire workout.
