I'm with you on this, but no one's hearing this right now. Really enjoyed watching the Knicks this year, even with all the frustrations of a young team maturing. They were a good young team that was going to get better. You're talking about Gallo's 2nd year really, Fields and Mosgov's 1st year, and the team's first year together. It's a shame they didn't get a chance to see what they could do. But I guess the popular thinking is they were never going to do anything noteworthy. So, now we got the Amar'e and Melo show and the scramble to throw pieces in there with what little assets we have. Is it a better situation? I think it's debatable but again, no one's hearing that right now.

The other thing is I'm not sure we had the type of organization or even the type of market to develop a team like that anyway.

this we now know.. for sure.. if you are drafted high and are not a star immediately, then you will get traded for a high profile player... Ask Jordan hill, and ask gallo....

you know, if I were NJ and was intent on stealing fans, I would package up that stiff Lopez with whatever picks they have left and go get Gallo and Mozgov to play with Deron. Last time I checked, there were still plenty of Italians and Russians in New York.

It might actually work. You should read the comments on this trade at the NYT.

New poster here. needed a place to go to vent about the knicks trading gallo.

why why why why why. it hurt like hell to see gallo at the nuggets game last night. i cannot believe he won't be in a knicks jersey. i keep hearing people say that the knicks will resign him in 2012. what do you guys think? do you think there is even a chance that he would end up back with the knicks? God i hope so. i can't even embrace melo because he's the reason why half our team is gone. selfish move by him.

all i want is for gallo to be a knick again. do you guys think that happens?

I hope so, but in another year, gallo will be too expensive, especially after he blows up in denver..
