Dude is 15 and 7 with 36% from 3 and plays D. Definitely much better than Felton. Just not a great playmaker. Does all else well, including being a jerk.

36% is not very good. It's simply average. It's also his career high as he's never been a good 3 point shooter.

Lowry's FG% is awful and he is a shoot first pg like Felton. The only thing he has over Felton is athleticism. But Lowry is not that much better than Felton. Raptors fans will tell you the same thing.

The Knicks FO should grow some balls and offer Felton + filler for Lowry straight up. Felton is actually on a really great value contract and that alone is worth more to the Raptors then Lowry. To have the best backup PG in the NBA for $4M/year for 1.5-2.5 more seasons is worth trading away Lowry, especially since Lowry will 100% leave in free agency in the offseason and you are in complete tank-mode right now.

Hes an ok Gm but he also gave out the Fields contracts and traded Bargs (who although not an all star is still decent) for Novak (who disappeared in the playoffs) and Camby (who is cap filler material). Hes made his share of bad moves.

For a whole variety of reasons, Bargnani had to be moved. For most Toronto fans, getting back a pick and non-albatross contracts was good enough. Also, Colangelo was responsible for the Fields contract, not Ujiri.

I don't see MU trading Lowry straight up for Felton/Shump. We might see a 3 team trade involving Amir Johnson and lowry.

If Lowry can give us 10+ points a game and play better defense than Felton, he's better than him by a lot.

No.

I think you're the one overrating Lowry.

I think you're overrating Felton. Aside from lobbing to Tyson, he's league-worst at every aspect of the game.

That's nice. Lousey ain't much better...

Biggest difference between Felton and Lowry is that Lowry gets to the line. Something the Knicks stink at. Over the last 4 games Lowry has been to the line 16 times. Felton? 0

If Felton is equivalent to Lowry, why do the Raps have a better record than us?

Kyle Lowry is as good as it gets for 2nd tier PGs (after the elites).

He's expiring and the need for PGs around the league is very low. He's not a playmaker -- just a good 3-ball and defender.

You are bidding against yourself to give up a young asset. He's just going to leave Toronto -- they can't get a 1st-rounder for him elsewhere. Why do it?

Because you need to pay a premium to get rid of the three years remaining on Felton's deal.

Felton is not overpaid...
If he was making 30K a year he'd be overpaid.

He's WAY overpaid.

Big idea here -- they probably would love to dump Fields. So just give them cap junk and take back Fields and Lowry.

Doing Shumpert would be stupid.

I would say Lowry is two tiers above Felton this year. Playing with another star in Melo might make him even better too. Considering the Raptors are tanking and Lowry is one of their better assets I would say that,

Lowry

FOR

Shump
Hardaway
Felton

The Knicks and Dolan are desperate to get better. With no future picks to give up, or it being too risky (since it's 4 years down the road) I doubt they're given up. Unless Dolan makes that mistake I have a very strong feeling that this is goign to be the package.

Also remember Toronto gave up a lottery pick last year to get Lowry and trading for a worse player in Felton might justify adding two mid first rounders (TH & IS).

Singificantly better defender, better playmaker, 10% higher TS%......he's way better.

My grandmother plays the game of basketball better than Ray from Latta, 85 with a heart condition and all that.

I'd trade Felton + Shumpert + Hardaway Jr for Lowry + Ross. We'll end up trading all of those for just Lowry though. Watch.

Guess what? You were all wrong. Don't make me Perfect-Plex all of you in here.
