Why we do it? It reduces our cap from 23.4 M to 12.250 M

Step 3
With Landry being owed 8.5 lets assume he's untradable- however, he will be on the books for 6.250. Lets assume we use the payout of 8.5- we can exercise the stretch provision over 5 years st: 1.7 M.

Step 4:

Exercise stretch provision on JR's contract: 12.4 remaining (maybe less on a buyout) over 5 years: 2.5 M

Step 5:

Exercise stretch provision on Felton contract: 7.8 M remaining (maybe less on a buyout) over 5 years: 1.5 M

Step 6:

Trade Amir's 5 million to any contending team for an expiring before July 1st - if you must throw in a 2nd rounder...

according to Coon based on your players you have they can only be stretched for only three years...not five, so the amounts will be different.

JR fits your bill now as do felton, but not those toronto players.

I also cannot see any team stretching multiple players and leaving dead money all over with a player if it's even allowed.

great question... I looked all over the cba and dont see any reference of a limit. I believe we can waive all of them

before I tell you my targets just humor me on my belief. I believe if we get under the cap at 21 million. Melo can convince Lebron to join him and chase rings on the biggest stage. There was no "Melo" on the Knicks in 2010...

Remember, Bargs 11.5 comes off the books for 2015.
Lets assume Lebron and Melo sign for 15 to 17 per- we could add Hibbert (whose from QUEENS) in 2015 for the NEW big three...
