I get that going from what you had, which was decidedly below average to Rose+Jennings is a big deal but Jennings is absolutely not the player he was before his injury, and it's a few things;
Jennings relied heavily on his speed and quickness to not only get ito the lane, but to actually get his shot off. He his speed has been greatly diminished because of his injury but it's compound ed by the fact that before his injury he was around 180lbs.(170-180) When he came back he was well over 200lbs, and it was pure muscle he put on not fat slowing him down immensely.
Third and finally he absolutely cannot finish with his off hand. This drove us nuts as opposing gaurds just trap him on his weak side but he used to have the speed to get out of it, or just jack up a shot.
He is not the same fleet of foot dynamic player Pistons fans fell in love with throwing off the glass oops to drummond.
Just be aware of this when taking things into account.
Fresh off an achilles injuries few players are themselves. Coming off the bench he's a plus .
I'm honestly not expecting a plus. If he's a net 0 I'm okay with that.
Agreed. Jennings has never really been anything to write home about outside of maybe 30 games in his career.
I don't expect him to outproduce what he's always been. Especially after injury.
