Why do you hate Lin? I don't. I just hate the Lin worshippers.

Why did Melo tell the media that the Rockets overpaid for Lin? Wouldn't that be counterproductive especially with his role in the NBAPA?

Why did Lin choose a payday over the playoffs yet gets worshipped?

Because he was making **** money and was living with teammates? He did what was best for him and his family.

Steve Mills has seen it all with the knicks in their past trade deals and how this team has been seriously screwed over with each one. He doesn't want to make the same mistake and this time he wants a lot of asses to come back in any deal.

That may be true but I'm dubious about how he evaluates assets. If he thinks Tim Hardaway was worth that contract, what other silly things does he think? How much would he pay Isiah Taylor if he was a FA is a question I'd like him to answer.

I think it probably will get announced tonight after the all-star game (or at least leaks of whats involved). Wed/Thur are a dead sports day. It will dominate the news.

I def don't think they would want to announce it today right before the MLB all-star game.

Yeah, absolutely - you know all the major leagues work together to make sure things like this don't happen...MLB definitely doesn't want the spotlight taken away from their All-Star game and the NBA will happily oblige out of respect.

I see it being announced tomorrow morning around 9-10 am

its sounds ridiculous buts sports first and foremost are an entertainment business. The MLB does not want anything taking away from there ratings tonight. And a Melo (4 team trade) would absolutely take viewers away.

From the number of leaks happening left and right I would think a deal is done also and just waiting to announce or they are hashing out small details that would change the pick part of the deal.

You're not getting the point. Dellavadova got overpaid and Lebron shouted him out. Tyler Johnson got overpaid and Dwayne Wade shouted him out. That's what you do in the NBA. You root for your fellow NBA brother to get the most money possible. Jeremy Lin didn't receive that backing from Carmelo Anthony, who holds a high position in the NBAPA.

Because he was jealous of Lin. There have been reports about it.

Proof? And don't bring up the Amare thing because Amare said he wasn't talking about Melo.

The good news here is that Gaines and Wilson get to stay.

@dalomish, Melo certainly didn't give him a shout out. Melo was salty with Lin when D'Antoni took the keys from Melo and gave them to Lin.

At that time the Knicks were better with Lin then Melo... Melo Hated that
Lin was loved by the people

from the sounds of it, its looking like they are doing what you are requesting.

they better.....or i'll make a lot of disparaging posts about them on a message board

You're going to be dissapointed. The hold up in my eyes is on the Knicks side because they don't want to take on any contracts. Portland would probably take on Anderson's contract if they were able to shed Leonard's contract which would cushion the blow of Ryan's contract. Rockets would already be taking on major salary, so it all points to the Knicks having to take on some sort of contract in order for someone to take Ryan Anderson away from Houston.

Even if a fourth team gets involved to take on Leonard's contract that would be three teams that would still be looking for compensation.

Knicks for giving up Melo
Portland for taking on Ryan Anderson
Fourth team for taking on Myers Leonard

With limited resources from Houston's side this deal likely doesn't get done unless NYK take on a bad contract.
