Two observations:

1) Lee's not and has never had point guard skills. For him to operate a P&R is way beyond what he was brought here to do.
2) No one takes Jack seriously on offense because he can't drive past anyone. Hence let's front KP, since it's not like Jack is gonna make that pass anyways

KP is back to having trouble posting up players 6-8 inches smaller than him. I don't understand how he either can't keep the player on his hip or get the foul call. Though the refs are really letting players maul him so it's not all his fault.

I expect KP to probably end up at around 20-22 ppg by the end of the year. That's still steady improvement each year since his rookie year. I'm not concerned though he clearly has work to do. No more summers in Latvia.

I'll say it again for the thousandth time. KP has to set up deeper, much deeper ala Kareem. He's not a creator. He just needs to receive the ball and shoot over people down low without the ridiculous iso moves.

Frank has been terrible of late... tough to watch those other draft picks play better and look so much more ready right now... really thought he was going to be better.... patience is a virtue but i'm still not sold... solid defense at times, some good passes at times, obvious rookie struggles but I just wish he had a better overall game right now, more aggressive mentality, more explosive at the rim, better shot etc etc...... we'll see, hopefully he isn't a bust, at 19 its way to early for that but we will see if he is their PG as times goes on.

Knicks PNR is painful.

Guard can't exploita a mismatch against big.

Big can't post up smaller dude.

Can Hornacek finally teach our stupid guards how to play PnR?They cant even pass to KP when he rolls in...
Can Hornacek make some plays for KP?It looks like he only wants to play KP on Iso...
This coach has learned 0,while hes been here..Just sad..
KP played great first 25 games, and shot was falling, and Jeff was happy..Now when teams play double on KP,he cannot use that..
Jeff doenst know how to change game plan after big break..Plays same shiet..Doenst even matter for him..

The team without Hardaway isn't talented enough offensively to take the pressure off KP. Also, I'm sure Jeff has gone over the options on the PnR with the players. It's more about executing the plays. Hopefully, when they go over the videotape of this game and break it down, they'll see what they're missing. KP needs another offensively player out there with. Maybe Doug or Beasley should start with him until Tim comes back. I dunno.

BTW why Jeff doenst use one thing, that made KP's and Timmys two man game so good? Timmy would make screen, and KP would run around it shoot with very high %..Why others dont do that? Why Jeff doenst do that? Is he that clueless?

IF Lee or Jack cannot do that, then why they are playing with the ball..Like Lee against HEAT..Dear God help us..

I know it's envogue to hate kP but at the end of the game, dude was fighting. That final play before ot. He rebounded kept dude at bay and found the open man. My only problem with KP is that he has to realize that he's not talented enough to coast. Few players are. I want that same fight that he had at the end of this game in the majority of all his games.

Highkey miss Herring covering the team, easily the best beat writer we've had.

As for the game, Jack should not have been in down the stretch. As bad as the other guys were Jack was dreadful.

Those numbers are wrong - the only number that's right is for the October ; for the rest of the months they have shown 3P%, not FG% Actually his FG% by months is 48%, 46%, 41% and 33%. Still a clear decline, but much better than what's seen in that picture.

That's actually a pretty egregious error. MSG out here spreading fake news and the Melo slurpers ready to lap it up

Sell high before the deadline; start putting together a package to move up in the draft.

This is not a surprise or reveleation, but we are awful at driving to the basket and everything that involves drives - shooting, getting fouls, passing out, scoring, you name it:

29th in league in Drives
27th in field goals made after Drives
28th in fouls per game from drives
29th in points scored from drives
29th in passing out from drives %

Knicks like to play ISO possessions despite being one of the worst on them according to points per play. Clear lack of transition plays and execution is also bad. Very good on Spot Up shooting, but hardly ever using it:

11th in Isolation Possessions, but only 28th in PPP on Isolation plays
23th in Transition Possessions and 25th in PPP on Transition Plays
28th in Spot Up Possessions, but 9th in Spot Up PPP

Dead last in 3pt shot attempts and almost last in 3P shooting percentage. Instead Knicks love shooting long 2pt shots leading the league in 2FGA and shots from 10-14 feet away. And although we love shooting those awful shots, we still suck at actually making them:

30th in 3PA and 28th in 3P%
1st in 2FGA and 1st in 10-14 ft FGA, but only 22nd in 2FG%

We love to shot inefficient, tightly contested shots. And are struggling to get open, much less, wide open shots:

1st in FGA when closest defender 0-2 feet away and 1st in FGA when closest defender 2-4 feet away
24th in FGA when closest defender 4-6 feet away (open shots) and 30th in FG% when we get those shots (wtf?)
30th in FGA when closest defender 6+ feet away (wide open shots), but 2nd in FG% when we get those shots
