Sounds great. Why people are still wanting to give up assets for cp3 in his advanced age. I get we need a PG but damn. We still will need a PG even with cp3. He's going to get hurt and retire. Would much rather do this and get #10

Pho is not give up the #10 pick and Oubre for CP3.... you all need to stop it.

I'm much more comfortable reaching on Kira or Cole at 10 than I am at 8. Just grab whomever falls of the Okoro, Toppin, Hayes group and grab either Cole, Kira, or Williams at 10.

Why not? There's been a few other rumors from the Suns local beat writers, that they're trying to get out of Oubre's salary and willing to use the 10th pick to do it. We saw how great the Suns were in the bubble, adding Paul might have them Western conference finals bound. They've pretty much been rebuilding since they sent Nash out of town and maybe the owner wants to make the playoffs? I think it be more reasonable to question why the thunder would do this, not the Suns.

I’m slick becoming real intrigued with RJ Hampton.
Had a Zoom call with WWW & Leon this past weekend and he sounded real confident about it.
I’d find a way to trade our 27th, our 2nd and someone like DSJr or Knox to get back in late lottery to draft him.

lol it’s in the SNY video posted above. They talk about the zoom and even have voice snippets of Hampton talking about it, all after the CP3 talk.

No need he will be there at 27th, he isn't that good. Very limited to No half court offensive skills.... not a NBA PG, Exum lite. More of a transitional offensive player. He's a bench warming project for a few years. A SG, Cassius Stanley is way better than him.. Immanuel Quickley is also way more skilled than him. Have you all actually watch any of these guys you all get hard on's for? Do you all even see any transferable skills?

You’re bugging. He’s nothing like Dante Exum either. I’ve seen this kid do thing Exum couldn’t do today and their personalities aren’t similar.
A year ago, Hampton was a top 5 pick. It was going to be LaMelo, Cole, Wiseman, Hampton and Edwards.
His overseas stint hurt him but you look at how he plays & see that he’s training with Mike Miller with his 3pt shot, the kid is good. He could be a boom or bust but I’m willing to take the gamble in the 20s.

Yeah you know, if what the guy is saying were true I'd totally agree. But I don't necessarily agree with most of anything he's saying about what RJ Hampton is.

Hampton honestly sounds more arrogant than LaMelo Ball to me and that's not an easy thing to do. And Hampton isn't really anywhere near Ball in terms of talent.

But ok, let's take a look at what the creator of this video immediately talks about with respect to RJ Hampton:

"6'7" Steph Curry" - I know the general consensus is that he's a good shooter (good not great) but Hampton shot 29.5% from 3 going up against slow and small white guys in NZ (and was not particularly good shooting from deep in HS) and his shooting strength is more in the midrange shot (which he actually does shoot well relatively speaking) and not from deep, so any reference to Steph Curry immediately sets the vibe of the vid and it's creator on the "what are you high?" side.

"Bounce like Zach Lavine" - Hampton is a very athletic player sure, but he's not Zach Lavine athletic. LaVine was explosive at UCLA, every time he got the ball in his hands you kinda sat there waiting for something crazy to happen. Hampton? Not really. He may look like Lavine physically but that doesn't mean he is Lavine physically.

"Pat Bev clamps on defense" - yeah I don't know where this comes from TBQH. Patrick Bevery is one of the craftiest and smartest defenders in the NBA and is driven by relentless pursuit mindset. Hampton has been questioned about his defensive maturity and isn't know as a relentless type of anything (the later of which is among the biggest knocks against Hampton).

"Might sound like 2K, but this is real life" - at this point the creator of this vid has only said the above so the implication is that Hampton is an uber ultra athletic lock down defender that can shoot and score like Steph Curry. He just described someone that doesn't even exist in the NBA right now and have never existed (MJ, Kobe, Lebron, etc...aka greatest players ever never ever were anywhere near Steph Curry in terms of shooting) and, if he did exist, would be challenging Lebron James title as the best player in the NBA right now. Sounds like 2K to me (more than 30k).

Hampton has potential. But it's a risky type of potential IMO. He may be Zach Lavine like in some ways, perhaps, but Lavine was (and still is) they type of player that if you give him an inch he'll ram it down your throat type. In that respect Lavine was Vince Carter like. Stars do that. That's really not the vibe I've gotten watching Hampton play. Hampton settles and lacks that type of alpha (killer) mentality that most of the top tier players in the NBA has (always have). He's somewhere between Lavine and Exum from my standpoint. Question is which one is he closer to?

“ Empire Sports Media has learned yesterday that the Knicks have made their due diligence on Florida State University’s 3-and-D prospect Devin Vassell along with his one-and-done teammate Patrick Williams, the youngest college player in the Draft.

According to a highly placed source, the Knicks made a thorough background check on both players which wasn’t only confined to the coaching staff.

Very interesting, could we possibly leave the draft with both??

Would absolutely love that.

FSU should have been a final four team unless a major upset occurred. Their system might fit well with what Thibs wants to do, and both Vassell and Williams got more upside than their time in college showed because their coach believed in strictly managing minutes.
