What surprised me most about Knox tonight was that pass to RJ. That was a heads up, high IQ play. Payton nor Randle would’ve made that pass

He drew fouls in college. Those drawing fouls on 3s is some superstar chit.

RJ FT shot is looking automatic. You can tell he was working on it in the offseason. I think he will be around .75% this year

I’d rather they win 12 games with this final unit and having learning pains even if it means losing by 30 with players that will be here beyond this season than win 20 games with a whole bunch of losers that have no future here

Because I'm pretty sure in the NBA it's impossible to bench veterans. That has to be the only answer.. the minutes veterans get is reflective of how much money they're getting paid and what kind of media attention they draw locally and nationally. Seriously.. it has nothing to do with basketball.

Because it's not just about getting the kids minutes, it's as much about getting the kids minutes in which they can be part of a successful whole. That's when young talent can develop best. And finding success NBA starters is a different caliber of challenge than finding success against NBA benches. One that I wouldn't rush them to face before letting them build up their self-belief & chemistry against regular-season NBA bench-players.

If you listen closely, you can hear the sound of DSJ's minutes flying out the window

Shame, really. We traded for him, put the pressure of being the centerpiece of a deal for our All Star, then never properly developed or supported him.

To be fair, if Barrett wasnt on this team, Im fairly certain that dsj wouldve closed out this game. He was out there for a good portion of the comeback.

Best thing about tonight is Quickley played well without even shooting it that great from deep. Imagine how good he will look once his shot starts falling.

The post game show primarily featured how IQ played the point with intelligence and Bball IQ more than any other guard we've had in a while. They ran out of time showing all the stuff he did. Why start Payton when Quickley has so much room to grow?

Hilariously, they said Obi was the oldest Knick on the floor during the run.

Never had a doubt that he would improve!!!!

About 18 ppg. Anyone think that's about where he'll be this season?

Definitely and If he continues to improve his ft shooting I can see 20ppg being realistic.

Just to be clear, I'm talking about RJ Barrett and not Spencer Dinwiddie.

He makes 2 of those 3s he’d have 14 and 7 off the bench might be out starting point guard soon

He forced at least 2, and maybe 3 shots as well.

I just chalk that up to being a rookie. That's coachable. Then again, he WANTS to shoot, so it's not all a bad thing.

I can say this for DSJ. He’s trying. I can get behind that.
