We still suck but every loss helps our odds.

Thibs has low key had enough of Obi. Might be temporary but still.

Thibs is just trying to win and get Obi adjusted slowly. 4 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal isn’t bad for 9 minutes of action. Hopefully he gets more involved on the offense in the future

Of course, Payton will start the next game and play the majority of minutes. With his running partner Bullocks.
Quickley was also playing Dptson at point guard. I mean Jesus Andre Drummond was handling the ball for them ... successfully.

The injury didn’t help Obi, plus he is behind Randle, with Mitch and Noel in the mix. Minutes might be tough for Obi. I think he will play back into 15 to 20min or so and if he plays well more.

Winning a head to head tank battle against Cleveland when they're down 3 starters is impressive. This loss counts as two wins really since Cleveland has the finest tank and commander in the land.

Bullock was horrible on both sides of the ball. He should not play, let alone start and get heavy minutes.

What's going on with OUR show? Now that would be an entertaining way to spend a tank season, especially if we had call-ins. :D

Hopefully Mitch can one day have a Drummond-like growth in his offensive game. At this point in his career Drummond was also still just a roll man. He's a legit offensive center now though. He'll probably be a prime trade target for Portland & NJ

This team was 5-3, but as fans (ESPECIALLY Knicks fans) we had to remain realistic as we have the 3rd youngest team in the league. We've lost 5 in a row which sucks, but lets take the positives in game to game, even if we lose.

For this game, I give you the positives of:
- Randle has put it together and is an ASSET, even if we don't keep him. Compare the Randle that we know now to what we thought of him prior to the season started... yeah.
- RJ has had two consecutive games of good shooting and perserverence. He won't be a superstar, but he's showing a lot for a 20 year old. Stay tuned.
- IQ is a 6-8 year veteran in the body of a rookie that knows how to play. He'll be starting soon I hope. If he's not, he'll find his way on the court and put up numbers regardless. Absolute steal. Stop comparing him to Maxey.

I will conclude this by saying: When we break this losing streak will define our season. This is it. Our 2020-2021 Knicks are unfortunatel undermanned and too young, regardless of heart and effort, to make up for an intensive losing record and go on a winning streak of 5-6+ games if we go too many games below .500.

Namaste.
My lifetime better have a Knicks championship.

Here are a few hot takes and some truth. You can't have a player like randel on a team who holds the ball for 17 seconds. You cant have the offense run through a power forward. If you want there is no ball movement and no off ball movement. Randel passes to payton 71.25% percent of the time. Payton passes to randel 81 % percent of the time. This is very indicative they have some type of pack to help each other out. Which concludes to us stacking loses and hurting out team growth ball movement and off ball movement. If you compare out first 7 games to our last few games you can see players just stand around because they know where the ball is going. Thibs has to make a correction soon. It wasn't a coincidence that as soon as the youngins came in everyone was moving and sharing he ball and we went up by 7. Having a player like randel is teaching our young players to just go and get there's because they have a low percentage of actually touching the ball. I dont know if anyone seen that sequence in the end of the 2nd Qt or 3rd I forgot there was 11 seconds and quickly was on fire and he wanted to bring the ball up but randel was yelling at him to give him the ball. Randel is a ball hog and not a teammate if he is not getting his he is not happy. I am sorry I dont care how many shots he's making. He is hurting the team. Along with his times to play defense. He's a idiot. He shows he is totally capable of playing defense and being a positive on that end but chooses when to. He is a losing player.

Now lets talk RJ. - I know in the game thread I said he is jazz and well because its justified. He goes blank on defense at times and he's a shooting guard that cant shoot. Until he improves his shooting or has a team that fits him with everyone being shooters he will be in my eyes AZZ. The glaring weakness he has he has not improved and he had a longer offseason. He should be shootin at at least average percentages

Now lets talk payton. Cant pass, cant penetrate, cant make a floater or a layup at times, DEFIANTLY cant shoot. Only passes to randel and likes to dribble the ball off his foot. He has that stupid look on his face like idk what's going on all the time. HE NEEDS TO GO!

Now lets positives. Quickley looks like he is going to be good man. If he can work on his defense he is going to be a heck of a player. Wen the offense is ran through him he makes his team better. He so raw to!. Teach this kid some more moves and dammm. His floater is wet AF. I can see him being with us for a very long time. I just hope his minutes grows and becomes the starter. I dont know if anyone pay attention but he is always moving unless playing with randel because randel calls him off. But i love the fight in him he told randel to give him the ball and even called him off at times.

Knox. Looks like knox can make it in this league and he will be our slow grower. When he get the ball in the corner its going in I think at 65% in the last few games. His defense has looked improved as well and his help defense has been surprisingly average or a little bit better than average. Yes he still has lapses but it looks like he wants to do better and is actually improving. If he can make his dribble faster lower and tigher and get strong at the rim he should be good. Im really liking what I am seeing from him .

Toppin. Ok so toppin didn't control the box score but when he was in the ball was moving so freely. I think he needs to get down low more. But looks like he is a very good passer and once he can score more he will be feared because if you double him he will make the right pass.

Noel- Dumbs as rocks and constanty makes 5 dumbfounding plays a game if its a TO or not rebounding or getting bodied

Bullock- what does he do good? Shoots a little below average. Cant penetrate. cant hit a mid range. I means defense is average at times.

Rivers- Looks like he fell back down to earth and more. Dude really picked up the clipper ways and complains about everything. Like cmon son you should know your on the knicks we dont get calls.

Thibs- He hasn't made a starting lineup change yet and its starting to bug me out. But I also understand it. He's going with the most experience out there. But he needs to use that so called big brain of his and also use his eyes and realize quickley is a positive and payton well should be out of the league. Also I think he should implement knox into the starting lineup with bullock going on the bench.

A lineup of quickley, RJ, Knox and mitch is a well balanced starting lineup.

Quickley like to penetrate and throw lobs. Hello mitch.

Knox can shoot those corner threes.

Rj can penetrate and dish out

Randel do what ever he does.

He's way way behind what Drummond was at 22, he made the all-star team that year putting up 16ppg, 15rpg, 1.5bpg and 1.4spg all in 32mpg. I don't see him developing like that because he won't get the free reign Drummond got, plus he doesn't have as good of hands, Drummond catches everything you throw at him.

I really feel bad for these players & Coach.

You got a management which continues to miscontruct the roster and the fans calling for tank since years now and for their best player to go. Who wants to play for such ?

I really have no idea where the Knicks are heading. Who are they building with ?
They looked like they believed a couple weeks ago and wanted to prove they’re valuable and now look like the complete opposite.

That said, Kudos to Julius Randle. Without him, they’d have been blown out again by a lottery team which missed three starters.
Randle really plays like he’ll command nine figures his next contract and I fully expect the Knicks to pass then. :nonono:
