Let's say RJ doesn't work out and improve his numbers -- I wouldn't be shocked if he DOES -- but if he doesn't, why would the Raptors pay $55M a year for IQ? He's never started and has never had a good playoff game. To say nothing of the fact that he's not really a PG.

I think IQ is a good player already. And I can see what people see in him -- he moves well, can shoot it, and he's wiry and elusive. But 55M or whatever it comes out to, per season, for a good starting PG?

To be fair, while I think you're probably right, IRON MANTIS did say the same about RJ and his contract.

In fact, as recently as the PG thread in Orlando -- RJ's last game as a Knick -- god sham was saying there's no way any team would want RJ because they all have League Pass lol.

Fixed.

I thought both RJ and Randle would be hard to move

It appears there is a market. Randle certainly is playing well enough to be packaged if that's the case

My read has been they are building to complement Brunson and Randle, but it could be just Brunson in which case Randle is a big trade piece for another roster altering trade

Just need to see an elite team upset in the playoffs and we'll begin to hear chatter.

Hard to give up on the Embiid dream.

It requires Embiid to take the stance he only wants to play for us. If people thought Ainge was difficult to deal with then Morey will be no picnic either.

If we go further in the playoffs than they do then you may be right that Embiid says send me there

However, I still find it hard to believe our divisional rival would want to make us a favorite to win a ring

30 plus whatever they pay IQ, unless they get rid of RJ.

If Dejounte is weird, New York absorbs weirdness pretty well. Maybe he's surly and a little nutty. That's like almost everybody on the 7 Train.

OK, I thought that was your price tag for Q alone

Just looked at the defensive numbers. Throw the game away. High octane offense and we’re short handed.

But the defensive scheme that allows this many open 3s needs to be changed

Turns out he probably got a laugh out of this one too. If he's lurking in between scarves.
