We need to hold the somewhat inconsistent thoughts that he is good and not innovative or detail oriented … and his players are flawed … he’s just not pushing them to much beyond his good floor coaching

Thibs is an organization builder, but he is not in the least a competent in-game strategist.

He blanks out in the clutch and fails to implement the most rudimentary strategies every professional coach is expected to know.

Either that, or he's just stubborn to the point of stupidity and thinks, "We'll defend the last 10 seconds instead of sending them to the line, because that's what good defenders do" or some other variant of ignorant hoops machismo.

When Thibs is wrong, he is one of the stupidest coaches around.

Whatever good he brings as a coach is no longer offset by his failure to execute.

Tatum is not all that … you can beat him if you forget about the refs and play all out against him … he’s very good but also a product of soft reffing

Knicks need to be more physical with Tatum...get him frustrated asking for calls. He is a whiney bitch to the officials when he isn't getting calls.

That one occasion Mitch blocking him makes me wonder if the team should get creative to use a big on him. KAT is punishing Tatum in the paint on the other end, he may try some D on Tatum in the perimeter as well.

The rules establish a type of game that requires no physical or mental energy to play. KP, Jrue and White can launch threes totally comfortably. Come out to get me while I just tee it up. You either make a lot or get a foul and maybe someone steps under your landing spot.

You don’t have to sweat it. In fact the motion isn’t even needed. Just tee it up. Minimal effort, defender is a near non-factor. Shooting contest without a lot of motion or action, low impact exercise, and little pressure.

And Boston is a better shooting team obviously. Some could say Well the other team can do the same and as I said, yeah the Knicks can’t. But so what — you would just have two teams firing away without pressure on their shots. Standing still, preserving energy and no sweat.

Two teams playing the same BS game of popping uncontestable shots and NOT playing a competitive-fire and kinetic-energy sport. Just cozy 3s, launched with no pressure.

KG, this is all on the coach. In the beginnning our team looked night and day offensively. Thibs doesnt have the ability or basketball mind to take this group to the next level.

I'm glad that I'm not as emotionally tied to the team as I once was. It's clear as day to me. Thibs is an old dog who never truly evolved. I think the Knicks will push the Celtics but this wont be the year we sneak in. Hopefully the Don will make some coaching moves.

And you know what...Our players need to channel their inner kobe - get better over the summer and spend time together AS A TEAM during the summer by playing together. They need to hit free throws too... So to be fair as professionals they have
about 20% responsibility in their current status but Thibs unfortunately has to go because he will never change.
