Karl shooting 19-54, 7-21 from three is a Karl issue. I would say the same if Thibs was still here.

Correlation isn't causation. Where is the Karl that dropped 26 on Boston?

I'm not giving Brown a pass for anything. But Karl is playing like sh*t. That's all him.

Sounds like coaching

And what?

I made a post over the summer of five other Mike's (Malone, D'Antoni, Woodson, Budenholzer, Dunleavy) I would hire before Mike Brown and they hired Mike Brown. If it doesn't work out they still ain't hiring me as GM.

Fck if I know

Im just hear for entertainment

Kat will get right and have some monster games this year hell its still possible he can get right for a magical playoff run.

But im going to always remain skeptical of him cause of what he has shown us.

As for mike brown his offense has created open looks and the d is solid.

I blame Leon for our problems. Our bench is still subpar. We dont have a 5th starter. And our youth are trash. Wingo was right.

No way is he this bad though. This is coaching. KAT has major issues defensively and has some weaknesses offensively but no way is he a 35% from the field type of big man. Hes one of the more efficient scoring bigs in the league and Mike Brown got him looking the worst he’s ever looked in his career. He’s tanking his trade value too

Karl shooting 2 for 12 and committing jackass fouls is not a coaching issue. That is 100% a Karl Towns issue.

Karl was doing this same soft, dumb ass sh*t under Thibs too.

He wasn’t shooting 35% from the field and not involved in the offense and looking disengaged. He was playing like the best big man in the East. He did dumb shyt but he still had positive impact and found ways to dominate offensively. Now he just looks flat out awful on both ends

That’s not a fair assessment. He dominated early last year until the opposing teams started putting wings on him. Thibs did not adjust to this strategy and the constant complaint was how much Brunson and him did not have any chemistry together.

This is a small sample size but the Towns of last year is not enough to win a championship either. An offense that maximizes his shooting ability while decreasing his turnover rate is ideal for him and allowing him to be matched against other bigs is essential we are just gonna have to wait and see and hopefully Towns is just hurt.

1st half, Karl was doing everything we needed to win. He kept the defense honest with his threat to shoot, he rebounded. 2nd half he played absolutely selfish and derailed us.

You gotta be in 100%. It's only 4 games but you gotta be in to win over everything else.

Agreed. I do think it seemed like as a team they "tried to get him involved" more in the 2nd half - which led to some of the issues. Not saying that isn't his fault, but it felt like they kept trying to post him up - especially when Brunson was sitting. Instead of running the offense (whatever the offense is which is questionable)

Ok after hearing this from Stephon I'm gonna walk back from the ledge on Karl. I'll give him some grace, but last night was unacceptable and I never want to see him go awol again

They put a wing on him again. They went from Turner to Kuzma.

There’s been many flawed player who have won titles because coaches figured out how to use them to maximize their strengths for the team. We’re talking about a guy who has not only been an all star and all nba player but has made deep runs into the playoffs. I’m hopeful that they can figure something out more than I’m happy that he sucks right now. I don’t care about being right.

KAT and HART are the main reason we lost the last two very winnable games.

Both of them need to get right fast...or sit down.

Can we archive this thread of doom and gloom **** talking? That way we can come back to reminisce over how mentally soft this fanbase is after we get to the finals this year. :D

KAT will go on a run. A few of the people here will be like “I was wrong he’s nice” (not shamgod he stays strong, but the other guy).

Then in the playoffs he will have a bad game here or there. Same people will be like “SEE, FACTS!” KAT will win us a game then it’ll be “I like that, if he plays like that we will win the title!”

Then from then on, we’ll see how success we are for those people to determine if he’s good or not (but hopefully he’s bad cause that makes them happier).

The annoying thing is the love for last years team now all of a sudden when everyone is conveniently forgetting how much everyone hated last years team and wished we had the team prior to the Towns trade. Every loss last year was met with “this team is soft” “this team isn’t a real contender”. Now everyone is in panic mode it’s hilarious.

Yall Thibs hate clouded over your Mike Brown judgement

We can reach the Finals with how weak top of the East is due to injuries and it wont change the fact MB still sucks. I really doubt he will be able to out chess which ever beast of a team comes out West

They aren’t running any plays to get him going. Last night I think he had like one shot before the half. No real opportunities for him to find his rhythm. He had plenty of those last season because he was actually featured in the offense. So far I’ve seen way too many stretches where he is not featured on the ball that’s coaching

He is playing the worst basketball of his career. Last year he had arguably the best season of his career not just early on but even later on in the year he was a lot better than this
