So is Laker situation really that much better. I look at that org and they don't inspire confidence in me. No head coach (This late in the game!). Kobe is Kobe but how much longer does he really have? To me they are in flux and not the same "Lakers." If Melo decides to go there it will be because of his wife and the Cali lifestyle.

Ummm not so sure this is true. In general, new york taxes you based on your domicile, not where you work. I am aware that there are special jock taxes that tax you absed on where you play, but I think those are in addition to normal personal income tax and not in leau of.
