So, in a completely opposite post to "Knicks have a slim chance of getting Zion"

IF the Knicks DO get Zion

Can he be an upmarket (or downmarket) version of Draymond Green in a Knicks-Durant-Kyrie bootleg GSW set up?

I fully acknowledge the Knicks have no Iggy, Klay or even a Livingston on the team, and that Kyrie isn't remotely the player Curry is.

But besides that!

OK I'll play...if we keep Zion and his roughly 10 mill contract....we could trade for a 18-20 mill dollar contract but no more. Anyone out there with that kind of contract that would be a good 4th piece? trade 2 future firsts, DSJ, Knox, Frankie....keep Mitch

On the one hand, stars don't always fetch equal value. On the other hand, LA/Lebron sets up a sort of "bidding war" in which it seems it'll take maximum assets (besides the whole $ matching thing) to get AD.

As a note, I think AD has ZERO interest in any team other than LA and any statement to the contrary is just PR, steering the narrative etc.

Anyway, what is the received wisdom of the deal when the Knicks draft a Culver level guy, at, say, 3/4, which is more likely than them landing Zion. Not to be negative, just that 3/4/5 seem better odds than 1,2. Anyway, since 2-6 are seen as pretty similar, or at least 3-6, let's assume that anyone there (Culver/Cam/Romeo etc) is of equal perceived value in the league

Honestly, this is why I started the 3rd max besides AD thread...... If you compare a Culver as a rook to an established vet like Beal, Griffen, Derozen, Booker, McCollum ...for a win now team with a 31 yo KD and Kyrie , you probably take one of those guys. We could probably keep Mitch in a deal for one of those guys too.
