I don't mean to try and poke holes in anyone's 'credibility' and cause a meltdown for those inclined to do so.

Although when I read Carl's previous posts and specifically what he said about Kidd I noticed something that wasn't correct in his prediction but is easily explainable.

The one detail he got wrong and is verifiable that is was so is that he said Kidd would be fired when in fact he was traded.

Undoubtedly that could be easily dismissed as the Nets figuring if he was leaving for the Bucks if his demands weren't met that they were not going to let him go for nothing.

That's still a pretty darn good call.

He was indisputably right about Kidd/Nets/Bucks. Given the NBA media in general is tweeting speculation and conjecture and rumors of all kinds, I don't see this as any different than what's now SOP for ESPN, Yahoo, etc.

RealGM is in the business of attracting readers. It seems to be working.

Carl seems smart enough to realize once you put something on a public forum, it can and will have a life of it's own.

Whether he was right once and is guessing now. Whether he was right once but is getting wrong info now. Whether he was right once and will be again, I assume he understood the implications of doing what he's doing and it's the desired result.

and if this isn't the same guy and his account was hacked?

Think people are going to leave RealGM over it?

If I recall correctly, there was some sort of vetting with RealGM when he first posted the Nets thing. Maybe they've gone through that process again.

Like I originally stated, Carl has been vetted. He is working high up with the Knicks' President of Basketball Operations.

This is why it's always laughable when people complain about beat writers (which is universal to fans of all teams btw, they all hate their beat writers) and national writers and criticize their accuracy and credibility.

People don't care about credibility - they'll take whatever APPEARS to be a new piece of information, from anyone.
