Re: OT. The Donald Trump (and Politics) Momentum Thread
I've voted for neither of the major party in each of the last 4 Presidential elections and have voted R, D and I for State and Local depending on the candidate. Vote for who represents you best and who you trust. I'm a Libertarian and fall mostly in the R column but would much rather a D I can trust than a suit with an R at the end of his name.

Seriously guys, any other election, that's fine. But not this one.
Unless you're in a state that's not close at all then do whatever you want.
People should do whatever they want, this is their right to vote.
THANK YOU
Do you really need someone to tell you that to vote within your own volition ?

There actually is. The idea originally emerged in an unauthorized biography of Trump, in which the author (don't remember his name) estimated that his actual net worth is actually $350 million, with the rest of proposed net worth having to do with the value of his "brand".
Ok, well, cuz one guy said so.

Persuasion through media, celebrities and peers are a real issue. The two party system is showing warts with this election.
So, yes. Its more the ideology than the reminder as I had meant it.

I have to ask if your avatar is an accurate representation of you, because I now have to believe it is.
You have these violent grudges against the world, but you sound like you are living on Mom's home cooking and you really have never experienced real hardship.
I say that because while people who have truly suffered may be really bitter and have legit reasons for their anger you sound unhinged and disconnected from anything real.
You really are living in your childhood bedroom wearing a Guy Fawkes mask aren't you?
You're probably 15 years old talking smack about guns and immigrants and don't know squat about life.

I've said for awhile that it was a long shot for him mainly due to women and minority voters.
Yes but he's so dangerous that I don't want to risk it
Well its too bad that you cant control other's votes, or wait....can you?![]()
HRC isnt too far of, bro. She is a hawk.
Note to mention her husband, who I assume she would share some political beliefs (or lack of) with, did a LOT to dismantle welfare, turn it over to the states to dismantle, and did all the "anti crime" BS that landed a disproportionate # of minorites in jail, while also continuing the bogus drug war. Oh, and the whole getting down to some serious deregulation of Wall street, thanks to his Goldman Sachs sec of Treasury.

I know your vote didn't do this because you live in NY, but votes for Nader gave us President George W. Bush because of Florida. We really went through 8 years of horrible leadership and many died for his wars. They are still dying. Our economy tanked.
We don't have any perfect candidates. But helping to elect a bad one is frightening.
I understand your point. Hillary >>>> Trump, but at some point, we need to stop voting for the lesser of two evils. In most states, a vote for a 3rd party candidate will do nothing to effect the outcome of a general election, thanks to the electoral college. People shouldn't be made to feel wrong for voting for a candidate that represents their values. It needs to happen if a 3rd party is ever going to take off. I can't foresee the current GOP ever putting up a candidate that isn't dangerous to our future. I'm not going to vote for every Democrat patsy just because the GOP is 10x more dangerous. I don't see how progress will ever be made that way. Hopefully, people on the other side of the isle start voting 3rd (or 4th) party too.
I'll be voting for Jill Stein.
In Florida, this gave us George W. Bush over Al Gore. That was 8 years of hell for us. I don't want more.

I'm all for abolishing the Electoral College so that popular vote would always win. I think the fix was in anyway so blaming 3rd party is slightly off base. 3rd party didn't cause the re-election either.

It is the Neo Liberal Con game for sure.
I just trust her more with her finger on the button.
Sad that that is what matters right now, but Trump is that crazy.
all the shennanigans guys like Trump and his kind use to rouse up fears of terrorists is so ironic when a guy like Trump will open the Pandora's box of violence and warfare like nobody's business
Being a hawk and being a freaking looney tune are two different animals
Saying they are both the same because they are shady politicians is not true. Trump isn't a politician. He's a reality show host and he doesn't do reality well.

16 years. Obama inherited everything those Cheney-Bush scum left in their wake.
The world would be different now with Gore. He was one of the only truly decent men with a moral conscience and enough progressive vision to run for president in our lifetimes. His wife was a bit nuts. Ask Frank Zappa's ghost. But Gore was a fine candidate.
So, yeah, it matters who wins and sometimes it is because the worse option is truly worse. This is one of those times.
