Its SAS, he hates Lin for whatever reason, don't bother taking his word in this situation.

I actually think the Rockets are comfortable either way. If we match, they will get a bigger share of luxury tax. If we don't match, they get the best PG on their roster.

I think the Knicks are trolling their own fan base more than anyone.

Lin has value first two seasons, Felton and elderly bench players do not.

SAS did say Lin has more upside than Felton. Ian O'Connor saying Lin would definitely beat out Felton given a chance.

What if we get Felton to make a bigger trade in season? There's always a good team that disappoints that looks to blow up roster and start from scratch... it happens almost every season. And if Magic don't like current offers, they might roll into season with DH12 still on roster and trading him by Feb deadline, sort of like Nuggets did with Melo, increasing leverage and getting the best offer. What if we offer Amare or/ and Tyson, Felton, and European scrubs for Dwight?

I know that would be the second time Knicks used Felton to get a superstar  Felton will be hella mad

Has that Argentinian PG actually signed or still rumoured?

And THAT sir, is a major component of what Dolan MUST be considering. Sure, Dolan MIGHT (or might not) be pissed at the Rockets' increased offer. BUT, in the big scheme of things isn't this new Rockets' offer peanuts when you're looking at a gain of SIX HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS in increased market cap for your stock?

And that's now. What about the future? If Lin created a $600M gain up to now, what happens to the stock if Lin leaves? What happens to future marketing/advertising opportunities for Dolan if Lin leaves?

Sorry, but my money is on Dolan matching, and keeping the cash cow known as Jeremy Lin at MSG.
Tanking again, I suppose. Is there any other way?

If the Knicks match, the Rockets are desperate for a legit starting PG. So no, they're not comfortable.

By your reasoning, no team would ever sign rookies. Are you special?

Jared Zwerling ‏@JaredZwerling

On a positive note, Jeremy Lin's longtime trainer thinks the Knicks will match. Growing suspense entering the next couple of days.

Not at all. If you think fatty gives us a better chance than Lin on the other hand, you truly are a Lin hater.

The other thing is that with Felton on the roster, it makes me nervous because I do question whether he will gravitate away from Lin. I don't trust that Woodson trusts Lin.

But I still think Lin comes back. Maybe it's just me but I would rather Lin than Paul.

This can also be a way for the Knicks to show him that he is not irreplaceable, let him think this one through for a couple of days before matching. Whatever happens, it's clear the Knicks were pissed at the renegotiation of the contract and that is driving the decision to either match or show him he is not irreplaceable.

How is that clear?
