I would be PERFECTLY awesome with any of the following:

Jimmy F
Klay T
Marshon B
Josh S

...and of course Faried. I actually hope we can come away with a couple of guys. But it doesn't look like we may make a Draft Night Trade. We COULD buy a Pick though.

I'd also be happy with D. Morris (who I see as a guy who can become a Collison type of PG).

Donnie's got to find a team willing to sell a 1st round pick or early 2nd pick.

I want Faried or Singleton along with Josh Shelby. I really want Josh Shelby! I see some D-Wade in his game

I think were definetly getting another pick..but it might not be for a guy anyone particularly likes...Like Greg Smith, Willie Reed, Jeremy Tyler, in the earl-mid second, dont see us getting a late first

Why do you feel threatened or insecure about a player who wants to be great. Why should he wan to "settle" for being a role player?

I feel insecure? Insecure??

This kid is going to be major! Donnie better find a way to snatch him and either Jimmer, or Selby up in the first round, then come back for Tyler in the second round.

As a St Johns fan/BE fan Brooks is legit. Very fast, solid dribble, played under a terrible coach that's now fired in Davis, had no help or support on the team, great stroke shooter. Very rarely did he have an offday when he began this point outburst starting in early BE play.

I can tell you that Brooks outplayed Walker last season but since Brooks didn't have a head coach or core of players like Kemba did, of course Walker will go farther and get more pub. Walker got outplayed badly by Dwight Hardy last season, Brooks if I remember that STJ@Prov game put on a respectable 25 point game.

Only fear is that he really had a breakout year his senior year but I think that might be on the Friar staff more than anything.

He'd be an awesome pick at 17.

Sounds like Brooks has pulled ahead of Jimmer in your eyes

Haha you can definitely see some Kobe in the way he rises up to shoot. Seems like a well spoken kid in the video too, which is good. He's growing on me as a prospect.

Not a bigger need than a big man. Fields was a very good SG for us last season. Some of you guys really annoy me with some of the things you say ( not specifically talking about you truwwarrior).
Like people are throwing Fields under the bus after his poor playoff performance...seriously c'mon !
the guy was a rookie! jesus freaking christ...
give the guy some time to develop more in those situations...geez

Oh goodness
Once again people over analyzing what 18-21 yr old players are saying...*face palm*
Only thing that matters is how they play and how they can help the team. Its nerdism to scrutinize a player for what he says in pre-draft interviews....

Fields is not a SG. He is a SF. He was forced to play SG last year because we didn't have-1. We need a legit SG & if Brooks is there @ 17 you take him because all legit Big-Men will probably be off the board. Not to mention there aren't many legit big-man in the draft.

Big-Man will be filled via FA & not the draft

Fields is not really an ideal starting caliber NBA SG (his best position is SF). I could care less about what he did in the playoffs (I've said he's not an ideal SG even early in the season when he was among the top rookies and looking great). The Knicks absolutely could use a SG that can actually either shoot (not just only absolutely when he's open but REALLY shoot) or create shots for himself. Fields doesn't do either (he's a smart player that knows where to be and what do to, rebounds well and hustles). Also just because people don't feel Fields is an ideal SG doesn't mean they are throwing him under the bus. I wouldn't remotely consider trading him for anything short of a lottery pick but he's not really best suited as a SG for this team.

PS: If you want proof that I'm not throwing Fields under the bus, just see my reaction to a proposal from another poster about swapping Fields for Eric Maynor (including swapping 1st round picks so the Knicks move even further down the draft) in the other thread.

Yep especially since the only big man that may be available when the Knicks pick is Vucevic. No one else even remotely resembles an NBA C of the type the Knicks need. The 1st round is chuck full of combo guards, SF's and PF's. Considering who the Knicks have at SF and PF, drafting a guard makes most positional sense and tbh even from a BPA standpoint, the best options are likely all guards where the Knicks are picking.
