Balkan Towers are in full effect we wanted to give Porzingis a relatively young front court partner that he can play with for years to come, on the offensive side, who is good on the post that will enable Porzingis do his thing on perimeter but also we wanted someone who doesnt clog the paint all the time, can also step out to allow Porzingis room inside since he can develop a great post game too when he gets stronger dream shakin milk shakin our initial focus would be on getting him heathier and then beasting on small ball teams like hungry Balkan Tribes Welcome to Atlanta Motieeeeeee

With the 214th pick, the Phoenix Suns select

Wilson Chandler

Passed on Deng earlier because I thought that I might be able to get Chandler with this pick so I'm ecstatic that he fell.

With the 215th pick Sacramento Kings welcome Patty Mills

Band is reunited:

Patty is our man for the team, he will bring energy, pesky defense and terrific shooting. He is also a great locker room guy, teaming up with Harden will allow him to play off the ball where he thrives the best.

With the 219th pick the SAS select:

Aron Baynes

Image

"He takes no prisoners. He's out there full-bore all the time," Popovich said. "Sometimes he's a bull in the China shop, other times he wins the game for you. It's a player and a kind of guy, a great teammate, that any coach would love. He's fantastic."

Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy was asked about Baynes, now in his fourth NBA season, before the game by a San Antonio-based reporter and echoed the same comments he's made all season.

"I love Aron, and he's played well," Van Gundy said. "And better lately as he's gotten more comfortable and more familiar. Aron's a very, very good backup center, he's finished some games for us and been a big part of some wins. We've been really happy with him."

Lj4pointplay and I made a trade:

He receives Alex Len and 302
I receive 224 and 243

With 224 I select Cody Zeller

Spoiler:
Offensively he's lost his jump shot that he worked on heavily this summer. As a result, almost all of his offense (Leads the team in % of FGs from 0-3 feet) comes near the rim or from the free throw line. However, he converts those at a decent percentage (62.4%, good for 3rd best on our team), and he's very good at creating those opportunities by cutting off the ball and catching the ball on the pick and roll (Top 30 in the league number of possessions off a cut and as the roll man on the pick and roll. Similar players with regards to number of possessions include Draymond Green and Andre Drummond).

Defensively, he's easily the best defender on our roster that has played a game this season -- 45.7% allowed at the rim puts him up with elite rim protectors like Bismack Biyombo. His primary use is in help defense though -- One of the reasons he and MKG historically pair so well on the defensive end is that they're both absurdly athletic and good at recovering, so that they can both roam off of their men to cover for inferior defenders.

Rebounding-wise, he doesn't really go for the ball himself much -- he does a lot of sealing off the other guy and letting a different Hornet gather it. Again, this is part of why he and MKG work so well together -- MKG is excellent at gathering rebounds in that fashion by beating the other guy to the ball. That said, a large part of our rebounding slump this year was as a result of Cody over-sealing and Marvin Williams being unable to do anything about it. But, even with that, lineups containing Cody Zeller allow the lowest total ORB% in the entire league of any player.

He's impossibly hard to referee -- he probably leads the league in broken noses and yet he "commits" more fouls than he draws. I actually think that he's treated less fairly than Jeremy Lin by the referees, and there's pretty much no question of a bad referee bias against Lin.

He's stupid athletic. Doesn't really change much as to how he plays, but he has one of the better dunk highlight reels in the league as a result.

In the context of our team, he plays extremely well with Nic, Frank, and MKG. His stats with Nic compared to his stats without Nic are night and day different -- it was something like 4 points per 36 minutes and 7% True Shooting, both of which are gigantic differences. He and Frank have extremely good synergy with regard to passing, and being able to put the two of them on the court together gives us a lineup with solid ball movement despite P.J. and Lamb's limitations in that regard. And I've already talked a lot about how he and MKG have historically worked together.

He's the 3rd best player on our team right now, 4th when MKG gets back, and easily a top 100 player in the league. He would start for more than half the teams in the league, and he's still only 23. So in short, pretty well, but with a lot of room to improve in.
