Just to clarify, a friend had his pulled when we were in high school. He was always sucking on cigarettes, and got dry sockets.

Pain is getting better/gone away, mostly. Turns out I had two dry sockets even though I didn't do any of the forbidden things. It is not a fun feeling at all to have. Plus the OS has been putting these clove oil dressings in my sockets to help them heal, which is just about the worst tasting thing that has ever been in my mouth, and permeates everything I eat and drink. Hopefully, tomorrow I will be clove oil free and will be allowed to heal without them, though I still have some jaw pain.

Random fact of the day. I took the kids out this past weekend looking for fossils. Found lots, including a nice foot long x about 8 inch piece of fossilized bark from a tree.

I loved doing that as a kid. I actually found some trilobite type fossils

Let us know if you unearth any fossilized schleem

The other (Blue Beach) is not protected, so you are free to collect anything you find. Heading to another local spot next weekend to find some minerals (amethyst, etc...).
