Man Melo was so good in that 3rd quarter. Having him at the 4 should have been the plans all along when we finished the lockout year with him dominating at that spot.

KP needs to be our anchor defensively, once he gets used to communicating with the guys in front he should thrive there.

I seen some triangle as well in the 3rd quarter, Melo works better at the 4 spot in the triangle because he plays the pinch post better than anyone on the team and having that extra floor spacer on the court opens everything up.

Winning a game - especially against a depleted Mavs team - doesn't erase negatives that have been going on all season.

Its one thing to discuss the negatives in the post game thread and provide insight to the game... Its another thing to lead the post game thread with a title bashing a player on the team and only bash said player in the opening post...

Keep the criticism for in the thread...The leading Title and opening post of this thread was 100% negative against 1 player... No insight about the game...No insight on said player...Just "fk this guy, he sucks, blah blah blah" ...And this is our thread title/opening post after a BLOWOUT victory? Was there nothing positive at all to talk about?

yes the Mavs suck, Yes they were without Dirk...But lets not be 100% negative and completely destroy a guy who only played 15 minutes tonight in a game that we won... cmon now.

Not 1 positive comment in the entire opening post...And then to say Willy is better then Noah? They practically had the same stat line and Willy is no defensive standout either...

Willy 13 mins 4 points, 6 rebounds, 0 assits, 0 blocks 2-6 33% fg
Noah 15 mins 0 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists , 0 blocks 0-2 0%fg (so basically contributed on 4 points, same as willy, with the 2 assists)

Not making a comparison of the 2 players, they bring different things to the table...Im just saying... Bashing 1 player, then calling another player better after a game they put up pretty much the same stat line... doesn't make much sense to me. (yes stats don't say everything, yes Noah didn't have a good game.. im just saying)

Tired of all the negativity on this board. Cant even enjoy the 1 fking win we have. I really hope we end up living up to our potential, so I can start individually telling everybody to shut the fk up by the end of the season. Bunch of tank riding, negative cry babies. Save the tank talk for after the all star break.

What's wrong with the thread title?

Noah is being paid $18 million to essentially be a 20 mpg bench player. It's not his fault he has declined significantly. It's Phil's fault for signing him.

Yeah? So if its not Noahs fault and its Phil's fault, then why isn't the thread title and opening post bashing Phil then?

You don't see the problem with a thread title and opening post being negative about 1 player and 1 player only? No insight on the game... No criticism... just hateful bashing...

Cmon now...

I miss TKF's keys to the game... These post game threads suck now adays. Shouldn't be making a post game thread if u cant provide a review or any type of insight to the game. Want to bash Noah? There is a 13 page thread already made where there is plenty of Noah bashing going on... Keep the post game thread for post game thread stuff... If you want to make mention of Noahs poor play, then do that... but don't make the title all about him and the opening post all about him WHEN WE WON THE FKING GAME.

He has a point. When I saw the thread title it seemed entirely off-kilter. Jason is kooky so I let it slide, but I can understand why the title elicits this response. It surely didn't reflect the game was a victory.

If KP plays better at center, then he should be playing center. He's our future, and his development should be priority number uno. I love Noah, but I would let him play more in the second unit.

KP's moves this game was highly impressive. Very encourage with the way he scored, it was more then just pick and rolls and long 3s. Hyped to see how his offense seems to be expanding. One of the best games I've seen from him. Loved it.

Carmelo was outstanding throughout the 2nd half and absoulatly exploded during the 3rd Q. When on, Melo & K.P create for a dynamic duo.

Holiday was a game changer for us. Noah shouldn't be logging anything over 20 minutes throughout the regular season. There's a bigger picture for Noah. Continue to give Holiday some of Noah's minutes while featuring Melo at the 4. We'll need Noah 100% fresh, healthy and ready to compete with intensity come postseason play (if we're able to land a playoff birth) and as of right now it's obvious that Noah isn't where he needs to be physically. But come playoff basketball Noah's true ability will be crucial in order for us to advance.

Porzingis is just the total package. To be so young but yet so productive is an amazing feeling for our fan base & Franchise. An All-World talent this kid is. Porzingis, imo, is the definition of an up & coming cornerstone player and an NBA star within the makings.

I'd like to see more of Hernangomez as well. I still feel we'll begin to see this teams actual potential come game #20-25. Another 10-15 games of Rose settling down along with our role players continuing to gain chemistry & cohesion and i believe we'll begin to put strong winning streaks together and fight for a top 3-4 seed.

C: Porzingis.
PF: Anthony.
SF: Holiday.
SG: Lee.
PG: Jennings.

I love Rose but this is a starting 5 I'd like to see get out & run together from time to time.

I like Noah, I really do, but the biggest issue with him is that the teams completely ignore him on D and just double Kristaps and Melo instead. That really hurts. It's like we're playing 4 on 5 on that end. And Noah's flaws also interfere with KP and Melo's biggest strengths on both ends.

Last night Joakim also gave up a lot of offensive boards.

P.S. Bogut who is good enough offensively and a real strong guy couldn't take advantage of KP guarding him. So it's a good example of how Kristaps can handle some tiem at the 5 spot.

Mid Peyote conversation

Noah: Did you ever think that the concept of money is ridiculous
Phil: Money. The paper of counting that drives men crazy.
Noah: Yeah, it's so...so...empty
Phil: The Peyote way of knowledge is the way
Noah: Yeah. Hey, since money doesn't mean anything, 18 million a year for 4 years would be ok to be a Knick, no?
Phil: It really wouldn't matter in the grand scheme of things, my peyote apprentice.
Noah: Deal!

We have to keep the game close when Noah's in, and the death lineup can blow the away the rest of the time.

Which lineup is "Old Man Death"?

I missed the crossover. My god, for a 7 foot guy, no less a legit 7'3"

One of the moves that will propel him to stardom is that play, recognizing the mismatch and then taking the one foot, SLIGHT fade, bank shot.
That is unstoppable. At KP's height, that is just about a Kareem Sky Hook, in terms of no one stops it but itself.

Doctor: Lance, I'm afraid to tell this, but you have Plantar Fasciitis in both heels
Lance: Oh no, man, just when I was starting to get it together on offense
Doctor: I think this is the result of landing hard after too many off balance, low percentage shots in the paint
Lance: Uhhhhh (feels suspicious)
Doctor: Well, in any event, I'm going to prescribe for you lots of rest. At least two weeks. We don't want to jeopardize your NBA career. Come back in in two weeks, we may need to extend this for the good of the t..., your career.
Lance: Well, uh, if you think that's ok. Seems excessive.
Doctor: Lance, I'm the medical professional here, you have to trust me.

Lance exits, head down, somewhat despondent.
Doctor rips off lab coat to reveal Knicks T-Shirt and pumps fist while lifting right leg.
