All the people who didn't vote for Bernie did.
Biden is just running for President because he believes that Trump represents an existential threat to our democracy - and he saw himself as having the best chance to defeat him.
Of course, now that the market is tanking big, big time, almost any sensible Democrat could likely beat Trump, including Sanders. The problem is that Democrats cannot afford to have a wild and crazy 2021-22, lest we desire to reenergize conservatives and hand them back the House and Senate in 2022.
Warren was the candidate on the left capable of explaining and selling a nuanced progressive agenda - and then serving two terms as President defending it. But Warren was rejected by the crackpot left - who preferred the Sanders fantasy to the likely reality of politics in 2021.
I don't worry about Biden as President because I know that he will surround himself with the best of the former Clinton and Obama Administrations, plus the best of the next generation. And if Joe can't hack it at some point, due to health issues, I have no doubt that he would walk away - and let his VP take over.
Voters have been scared away from Sanders - and who can blame them. I voted for him last time, knowing that he likely couldn't defeat Clinton, but could send her a message - but I won't vote for him this time. I was Team Warren from before she even announced her candidacy.
