duhon actually passed the ball to his teammates.
He did but cmon we all know how hated and unwatchable he was, elf is right there. Duhon did pass the ball around that is true but I wanted both off the court the second they stepped on
that is very true. He wasn't nicknamed duh duh butter for no reason.
All I'm saying I would rather have a bum that passes then a bum that just shoots himself. That and he shot 39% from 3 one year while he was here. So I think I would take him just for a spacing and passing purposes.
I would be very sad if our pg options were those two clowns.
Quick is our only hope

there's no scenario where rj doesn't need to make shots. people are talking about building around him like he's f*cking giannis. it's preposterous.

Lol the minutes distribution. Thibs is the guy who'll play his starters 39 minutes in a 25 point loss. Just look at our box scores and the DNPs, he has a 7.2 man rotation.

Re: PG: Knicks-Thunder
As it currently stands, the Knicks do not have the ability to play 1v1 basketball and hope they can win games. It won't work. They have to move the ball and players have to move off-ball. Plays must be run and there needs to be motion. We're not a good offensive team to go rogue and play iso ball while the rest of the 4 players watch at the arc.
Take the loss, watch some tape, learn, get back to the basics, and stick to the script.
RJ better hit up Drew Hanlen to ask him why his shot messed up
But it really ain't Hanlen's fault either, he's worked with people who've become good to great shooters over time.
RJ's got issues beyond Hanlen when it comes to shooting. He's often off balance when taking shots, often trying to bully ball when he can't. Some of the issue is playing too many minutes, but he's gotta balance taking better shots and just having a consistent motion when shooting. Also got some ways to go with lower body strength.

Re: PG: Knicks-Thunder
The excuses for RJ are ridiculous. RJ needs to be better, simple and plain. He needs to improve his iso game, simple and plain.
Do you know who Caris Lavert's PG was last night when he dropped 43? Nobody, he had none, yet still found a way to score 43 on 23 shots.
RJ needs to be better, he needs to be held accountable for his play, it's nobody's fault and he just needs to be better.

Lavert is older than Julius
RJ is 6 years younger
I’m sure RJ can find a way to drop 43 on 23 shots at that age with that experience too. Lavert wasn’t doing that at an early age in the NBA.
Like I said, RJ is a on a Jalen Brown trajectory. Demanding that he just becomes consistent and extra efficient is just a big hope.

jaylen brown shoot 46.5 percent and 39.5 percent in year 2. he shot way better in year 1 than rj is now. rj on that evan turner trajectory.

Building around RJ right now is like building around Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. RJ needs to shoot better. The step back fadeaway needs work bro.

Re: PG: Knicks-Thunder
We had an off night. I'm not going to crucify anyone just yet but Payton/RJ/Randle/Mitch on the floor together means zero spacing and those are the starters. Payton needs to be replaced in the starting lineup or RJ needs to come off the bench.
