RJ has had and still does have potential to be a great player, it's just unclear if he'll ever conquer his mind. It isn't looking great. He should work with a sports psychologist and simplify what he's working on. He spent all this time over the summer working on shooting off the dribble when he should be working on just spot up shooting. He needs to be in the gym shooting 3s over and over until its muscle memory, and stop over thinking every movement.

It’s like when lil bitches make subliminal records, if it ain’t directed directly at me, I don’t respect it

It's funny how this board switches future Knicks stars every week. RJ, Obi, Cam, IQ and Grimes. That's our starting 5 of rotating future stars depending on the week (or game).
This week Grimes is back in the spotlight. Not that I don't love the kid, but we do this over and over again.

I wonder what it would take for a team to take RJ, considering the player he is currently and with the contract he just signed. Would we need to attach a 1st for a team to take a chance with that contract?

Julius is not being traded playing like this dude. We’re past that now lol. He’s still going to play like a bonehead sometimes, but he’s been balling for the most part.
Obi has been allergic to the paint on offense this season. He’s been soft. Barely even dunks anymore. The way he’s played lately he deserves to get benched, not start.
The Julius vs Obi stuff is over for now. As long as Julius can actually keep this up then I have little issue with keeping him, although Id still sell high before he goes postal again.
He will get traded Randle stan Knicks know they can't build around that loser

It's funny to think about how much talk there was about Obi being a better player than Randle. Obi is a career bench big role player, and the Randle is a legitimate starter in the league who has the ability to take over games.
I'm not a big fan of Juluis the person, but skill-wise there's no doubt now he's twice the player Obi will ever be. It's not fair to Randle to compare him to a part time role player like Obi.

With Deuce and Grimes, that void is essentially filled. Now you're starting to see why Grimes was a deal breaker in that Mitchell proposal and RJ wasn't.
I'll give credit to thibs for sitting his boys Rose and Fournier in exchange for deuce and Grimes but I'm pretty sure it's because his job was on the line and someone else got involved. Otherwise why the fck took him so long to see the obvious.
Rose, Fournier and Reddish for Westbrook and two picks
I'd do that in a heartbeat but why would they?

I ain't even gonna lie I have thought all those guys are bums for a while now.
Tired of fellow Knicks fans overhyping every bum that we draft just because we drafted them.
None of them really look promising to me especially RJ who I always hoped would prove me wrong but nope. He is what I thought he would be.
Only bright point is Brunson. Neutral on Randle for now, he is ok. Compared to RJ Brickrett he is a superstar.

What other RJ is there to consider?
I know what you mean, of course. I think it depends on what we’re taking back. I’m sure there are many different ways to use RJ in a trade if we were inclined to go in that direction. Would we looking to move him to create cap space? Maybe we attach him to Fournier for Westbrook and a number 1?

RJ straight up for Duarte, Duarte has more upside & we get rid of RJ's ridiculous contract.
