This site has Brunson IN
https://sportsnaut.com/2023-all-nba-team-who-will-make-list/amp/

Makes a ton of sense . Has more wins than last years 1st team Luka and booker . And it the main cog for one of the top offenses in the league

Wtf is going on? Knicks for real?

Anyone know what happened on December 3rd? Interesting cutoff date. I just wonder...

I believe we dropped some RUBBISH out of the rotation

I credit Randle, Thibs and Brunson as the main pieces for turning around the team. That 2020 season was almost like an early preview, they needed to go through that to get here. Building off the season instead of blowing it up to draft a mid player seems prudent. Some bumps along the way like Kemba, Noel, F0urni3r, Cam almost looks insignificant now.

The guys we drafted are playing important minutes. Our two big free agent signings Randle+Brunson should both be all-stars and they are having their best years with the Knicks. Its not like we got two stars on the decline as usual.

The Knicks could have had a winning season in 2021-22 had Kemba and Fournier not replaced Rose and Bullock in their roles. Good thing that Kemba and Fournier were quickly replaced with Brunson and Hart.

There aren't any. He's the best guard in the league.

There probably isn't a more motivated player in the whole league right now. Brunson getting snubbed for the All Star game was a disgrace.

Underrated part is Leon Rose being patient.

I am sure Knicks could've traded for Brunson. Lots of picks, young assets.
Randle looked terrible and Knicks could've send him away like a salary dump+pick.

But Rose stayed calm. Waited for the best time to make the moves. Let Randle get back to himself with a proper point guard.

Its very different than selling the house trade for Melo. Imagine if Knicks signed Carmelo 6 months later in FA. Using amnesty on Amare instead of Billups. That requires a patient front office. Rose is the best GM of the Knicks for 10+ years. Also bravo to Dolan as he does not exert win-now pressure on Rose. He seemed to learn not to be involved in decisions. Phil Jackson was not a good hire for the role but Rose makes ton of sense with his management background, agent relations.

It slowly fell apart before it ever got a chance ace to happen. Then it exploded. It's over. No more shyt talking about us not being cool and the Nets taking over New York. Blah blah BULLSHYT!! Oh...and don't think people forgot some turncoats who went over to the Nets! Spike/Rappaport etc etc sham!!

Feels good to be playing and winning meaningful games this late in the year is great. Beating BOS/BKN etc is even better.

MIA is due for a beating from us too!!!

As much as I hold Dolan responsible for the decades of Knicks futility I have to give him a lot of credit for handling the Donovan Mitchell situation the way that he did. It shows that he is a more mature Dolan than he was years ago. The old Dolan would have caved into the pressure of the fans and the media and coerced Rose into getting fleeced by Danny Ainge in order to obtain Mitchell.

I don't even have any disdain for the Nets anymore, I look upon them on how they were and always will be, the NBA's version of the New York Jets. But at least the Jets have Super Bowl 3...

This feels more sustainable than 2 years ago

But I still think Thibs gets exposed in the playoffs because we're playing a short rotation and over-relying on Brunson and Randle going off most games

Unless RJ takes a massive step, which I doubt at this point, we're still one piece away from true contention. Frankly, Jaylen Brown would be absolutely perfect for us, because what we need is a 2-way wing who can shoot, but those guys are extremely valuable because they're pretty rare. Maybe Keldon Johnson could be an option, he's really close to being that and has a very reasonable contract, but he does still need a bit of work to get there

It is fun to watch the team though. Feels like we have a core of guys who are here for the forseeable future who are the ones doing the most of the work, not vet journeymen having career years to get paid and then regress. Like, the only guy who isn't under contract for next year or doesn't have a team option/non-guaranteed contract is Hart

I still think the FO needs to make a big move instead of just making small moves and talking about making a big move, though.
BaF Lakers:

VJ Edgecombe/Jrue Holiday
Shaedon Sharpe/Cedric Coward
