Any free agents we should target?

Yes

OG

I kinda expect him to stay

I meant like any guards or other players we can target

We can trade for Ivey. They think he's a bust or something

He could easily be a 20ppg scorer and 10apg passer on top of the best defensive player and rebounder in the nba if Thibs would just remove the handcuffs and let Jokic east cook

Agreed. The question I have is why didn’t Thibs play him in the second half?

EDIT:

Ohhhhhh, Deuce being showcased for a trade.

Knicks fans should unite around the fact that neither IQ or McBride are all that good and very challenged at getting into the paint or turning the corner on a defender, breaking down the defense. Both seem to shoot 3's and play nice defense though.

Or we can get a grip and stop expecting All Stars from a FO that only uses the draft for late round pick role players.

McBride is fine. IQ was good. They are fine for where they were drafted. I'm not going to overrate Deuce on a few good games. IQ had a bigger body of work but had his obvious flaws as well.

There are two things teams can, and generally do with their draft picks. Ok, three.

They can trade the picks away, like the Knicks did for years. Do they continue to trade picks? Yes. Which is fine, as long as they hold onto the majority of the rest of the picks and the trades are mostly good. So far that's true enough last few years.

They can draft the players, develop them and play them. They've done this as well too.

Then they can trade some of those developed players. That's also getting value out of the picks, which the Knicks couldn't do in the past, because they traded them.

I'd have ZERO problem with Grimes or McBride (in 6 months) being traded if they are traded for actual good players.
And if the Knicks use some of their picks to put some more young players in the pipeline, even if it's only 2 at a time.

Deuce and Mitch are big time outliers. Not too many 2Rd picks stick in the league at all let alone play major rotation roles. Granted it’s too early on Deuce, but the contract extension is highly unusual. Knicks have done great finding late round role players.

A win is a win but what an ugly game. Randle should feel ashamed. So little effort shows a refusal to work!

If he could just eliminate the turnovers, he had a good stat line.

Plus, iHart's greater usage means that Randle has the ball in his hands less.

Resigning Hartenstein should be a serious priority. He fits so well with the starters and does what he needs to do. You can use him in more creative ways than Mitchell Robinson, not that Thibs is really creative with the offense but still his versatility is valuable. In that case need to start looking to move Robinson either as part of a bigger deal or in an isolation move for an upgrade somewhere else. That might not happen until the offseason though

Starting Burks at PG over Quickley was an unforgivable sin on Thibs' part.

It really showed the lack of importance he places on his young players' value and development...and once he has you pegged, you're pegged for life.

Grimes will probably never be a starter on the Knicks again. A backup to hit 3's from time to time. Better to just go ahead and trade him for another seasoned vet that makes Thibs happy.

Not having to watch Rj Barrett play basketball is a blessing. Have watched the last 4 games of the season. Had not watched a game all year.

Such a better product..even with Julius scramble on the floor

Damn, didn't even think of that. IHart does so much on this. Keeping the ball out of Randles hands is always a plus. I bet he has less turnovers per possession with IHart instead of Mitchy and harder to double team him from the center position as well which in Mitch position they can double bc of Mitch's offensive capabilities

It's better when you only have 1 player on the floor who's bumbling and stumbling instead of 2

Well, to be fair to Mitch, if his defender leaves him to double, Mitch should be getting a dunk out of it.

We only been saying it since his rookie year.... ancient HC has to be forced into these situations. He needs to go. It's Johnnie Bryant's time otherwise why tf is he even an assistant... see how he runs a ship
