Donte has a real chance at being in the 3-point...

He'd have a chance at being in the all star game if he can finish at the rim

Might be better :o

I'm starting to think this may be our best squad since 1993-1994. But there was also the very deep 1996-1997 team that got robbed (as we all know, lol). I really hate Miami after all these years... :banghead:

Let's see what they can do in the playoffs.

Annoying thing about Thibs, that we all know by this point, is the only way many guys breakout under him are from injuries (some of which he causes with overplaying).

Like as a starter this season Donte has been averaging 15/4/3 on great percentages… in just 25 mpg. Thibs has been capping him at 20-25 minutes many nights even when he was on like this. He’d basically be a 20/5/4 player if he played 30-35 mpg and kept up this production.

So the frustrating part is Donte wouldn’t have had these last 2 games if even 1 of OG or Randle were healthy. Maybe this gives Thibs more confidence in him now. The shooting is great obviously but the steals, defense, assists, and boarding are what win Thibs’ heart.

We saw the same thing with Hartenstein after Mitch went down. Thibs wouldn’t dare bench Mitch for Isaiah before, but it’s a definite toss up today and many arguments can made in favor of Isaiah. They’d prob split time right down the middle now at least.

While Precious was playing 5-10 mpg a few weeks ago, and now hes playing 30+ after Isaiah, Randle, and OG missed time. Doing great too. Would he still just be playing that amount if everyone was healthy?

Next man up yeah, but you’d think Thibs would learn to trust his bench more. Never going to happen apparently. There’d probably be less injuries, the starters would be fresher, and the backups would be better and more confident. Maybe the team loses a game sometimes, but in the long run it will be good for them. Cant win em all. He’s made some changes without injuries being the reason, but they seem to be the biggest one.

I love these wins. Dont get me wrong. I just dont want our boys to peak in January. That’s always been the knock on Thibs. The injuries lately should be a warning sign. We’re lucky they weren’t worse. Thibs still had the starters in until the last minute of the damn game. Gotta show the bench you believe in them man.

Big thibs fan. I understand no lead is safe. I even understand we’ve experienced Reggie Miller and Luka Doncic.

But when you be up like 20 with like 2 minutes to go and they still in there getting knocked around.

Diminishing returns for whatever lesson you’re trying to teach.

In this case I thought it was to get Brunson his 30pt streak and Josh Hart his triple double. But I dont know for sure..

Grimes is waking dafuq up!!!!

I agree. Jerry West's prediction of him being better than Barrett is starting to show.

I like when he attacks the rim. And when his 3 is going, we look unbeatable.

I think Grimes is a keeper. It may be better to see if he develops more before trading him. That way if he does develop, we can probably use him to grab a star.
