They were better with jrue. Look at Boston with jrue. The bucks have beaten us several times this year but I still like our chances

OKC- TOR was insane, I just watched it..
And tbh, every time I watch the Raptors I come out with one thought:

Please don't trade a single asset for Bruce Brown.

I don't know. they were better with him a few years ago, yes. but that thing ran its course last year. they got hammered by Miami. I would have made the trade for Dame too. but right now, it doesn't look that great..

Some of them are saying that Quickley is selfish and not a lead guard.

He was never a lead guard for us. His halfcourt sets as a lead guard was horrendous but that wasn't his role coming off the bench. He couldn't run PnRs, doesn't have great vision, etc.

People in here talking about how we need a lead guard for the 2nd unit... umm we needed that for a very long time. If you want an IQ on the offensive end, what they really want is a microwave scorer.

Miami made it to the finals and also Giannis was injured in the series so I wouldn’t use that as my basis. Look at the difference OG a made on the Knicks, jrue has made that difference for teams as well

It should be an interesting contract negotiation this offseason. With IQ and Obi, we might be looking at a case of the Peter principle. Thibs might have had these players in their ideal roles.

Jamal Crawford was great as a sixth man, but was frustrating as a starter. We'll have to wait and see, but I’m glad it’s someone else’s problem

I remember rookie Quick getting pulled immediately when he passed the ball. Thibs then ran him exclusively next to D. Rose to show him the correct way of dribbling the air out of the ball while looking for your own shot.

Rose would take 25 dribbles to score and then next possession would be tired so pass it to IQ who was specifically taught by the Knicks to put his head down and iso dribble drive to the rim (or he’d be benched).

You’re welcome, Toronto.

I think the idea was Barnes was supposed to be a point forward and IQ would be his scoring self. IQ stats look good though, hard to say since they are not winning. They also traded away Siakam so really quite a few steps back.

The bucks overreacted after the Miami series Los and fired their championship coach and messed with their defensive chemistry. That's why you don't go into sky is falling mode after every loss and blame the things that got you there.

he did, yes. but they had to make some move. I don't think a Giannis/Jrue/Middleton core would make it out of the east anymore. And on Boston, Jrue can just play defense and hit open shots. perfect situation regarding his age and skillset.

the tank looked even better two days ago, when they lost by nearly 30 points w/o him in Houston I guess.

they blew a 24 point lead yesterday, the bigggest comeback by any team this season. that's a fine tank commander.
