Game 2 is going to be much harder, imho.

Celtics missed a bunch of threes. And the Mitch hacking was very amateurish. Why was he getting Shaq treatment lol?

I just feel Knicks played like 99% of their potential while Celtics made giant mistakes that can be easily fixed.

KAT does collapse here and there, but he also can grind which is what he did tonight ... and that's more important than just about anything ... he doesn't quit, but he does at times do dumb stuff or choke

His motor is always high

Oh yeah cool calm collective Mikal.

Also PJ and Cam

But we’re only in the EC semifinals. LOL

It's playoff experience and those 3 went the deepest b4. OG don't count bc he didn't play. Most of our players only made it to this rd

We played well but we still need to be better

he looked like trash vs ORL...we can take advantage of him defensively...I do like that thibs came out switching. That is going to be what we need to do KAT just can't get into foul trouble. But live and die with Tatum step backs instead of open 3's in drop coverage.

Denver all the way

It is the one defensive assignment KAT has excelled at and it was against the best player on the planet

If you limit Joker you win that series

Brunson and OG were especially brilliant..
The series is not not over but now your boys have what I feared most. Self belief and confidence you can beat us.

Would I be out of line and suggest that was your best playoff win since 1999 ?

Anyhow congrats and all the best. Better team won tonight without question.

We’re just as surprised as you!

Hopefully we’ll have a competitive series to remember. I love the rivalry.

Definitely.

The mental strength and confidence of Brunson, especially in this game reminded me of peak Michael Jordan.

He will be remembered as a Knicks legend

I can only imagine how loud MSG will be for games 3 and 4.

It's wins like tonight that can really change a team and franchise's destiny.

We have a few injuries/unfit players right now (JB, KP and Hauser) which is very worrying.

Series now a legit 50/50 proposition.

Probably Hoops Karma got us in the end with our Hack a Mitch tactic lol

Are Tatum and Brown a little banged up because it’s unusual for them to miss so many 3s. Is your namesake seriously injured because you could’ve used him too.

I’m surprised we didn’t see more Pritchard because that little dude is so annoying. LOL

See you on Wednesday!

Nah, Celtics' guys had to play big minutes too. Our guys are going to have to play a few minutes more than their guys to win this.

Tatum, Brown, and White all played 44+ minutes. Holiday played right under 39 minutes

Our top guys played heavy minutes like theirs. Mikal played 51+, Hart and OG 45+, Jalen 43+

KAT didn't play as much due to foul trouble. He should have plenty of energy for Game 2.

If Mitch and Deuce continue to be playable for 18-21 minutes each, then we are going to be ok.

A 7-man rotation with the rest of the team getting spot minutes is ok.

They will continue to shoot 3s.

I somehow felt comfortable with Brunson on Tatum ... I think it threw Tatum's slightly robotic self off too ... he was like WTF

It needs to be said - OG was the best wing on the floor tonight.

Our guys did a good job of bothering their shots without fouling. White was the most difficult one to guard it felt like.

51 minutes for mikal...put some damn respect on his name. came up with all the big defensive plays down the stretch

the play that he leaped and stole the ball and threw it while falling out of bounds to get to hart who then passed it to OG for the and-1 dunk when it was tied in OT was a massive play.

OG was legit fantastic in the 2nd half

Cap was cap closing.

KAT even made some important plays

And Hart was legit fantastic throughout

Got some help from Deuce too.

Maybe the Detroit series strengthened their resolve?

Because the physicality of that series won’t be matched by any other team going forward. The Celtics don’t play that way.
