Also, anyone that continues to underestimate this Pacers team is foolishly doing the same things that Boston fans did, which is being arrogantly confident, despite choking at home. Like, we are not that much better than them. I don’t even know what planet you guys live on thinking that the Knicks are that much better than them. That are a deep team, that knows exactly what kind of identity they have.

Also call a spade a spade - they might have the best player in the series. They had the best player on the court tonight for sure.

This game has the same feel as game 1 against Indy in 2013 and Miami in 2023. I kind of had that vibe coming into this series.

The Knicks got some work to do! And they better suffocate that Pacer team!
That's all I got to say on this. I'm pissed!

I’m sick. People can be as optimistic as they want. The fact of the matter is teams don’t come back from this.

Brunson earned better expectations. Cannot roll over.

Our Josh Hart was better than their Josh Hart for 3 1/2 quarters. Then their Josh Hart took over

Thibs subbing KAT to be on floor same time with Brunson up 14 with 3:44 left was the collosal mistake. It should have never got to having to make those free throws to keep the Pacers from tying it in the first place. Pacers already showed they were ready to cook that line up when they started the game a blistering 9 for 9. Why in the world is not Mitch your defensive closer in that situation is absolutely mind boggling. I said it the moment he made the substitution too. Mitch 100% needed to be the closer for the final 3:44. That was the biggest mistake of the game by far.

You are up 14 and Pacers were scoring in bunches every single time those 2 were out there together. Every. Single. Time. ANY coach with a true feel for the game that is actually happening in front of him and considering score and time left would NEVER bring in the two weakest defenders at that point (especially with how they were playing together).

I am not mad anymore but was caught up in the moment bc I SAW IT COMING. I posted it the moment he subbed in KAT to be out there with JB in that situation (up 14 with 3:44 left).

Pacers were no joke like 70%+ insane shooting with both Brun and KAT in together all game long. They had a plan vs that lineup and were absolutely smoking it.

A smart coach simply says, Im up 14 so I am not going to put my pure offensive lineup in there thats been clearly getting cooked but more of a defensive line up ESPECIALLY when the in game advanced analytics are showing a HUGE change in defensive rating with Mitch on the floor.

This is prolly going to get picked up on very soon by the smart analysts and there will be a bunch of posts about it

Haliburton is such a dick. The choke sign was so unnecessary even if they had won at that point.

After seeing his father get thrown out of all NBA games for his unsportsmanlike behavior, I see now where the son gets it from. :noway:

Thibs saying the right things but I feel like he's going to be up the next 48 hours scribbling defensive schemes on his wall like a madman.

Yeah they do, they can’t get too high or too low. It’s game 1 in a series. Make adjustments, stop doing drop coverage…. like legit stop it!…. And feed KAT the ball More.

It took Thibodeau 6 games until his team started defending the 3 point line against the Celtics, and today he took players out the game that got the lead to 17 points for a player with 5 fouls.

Yea I posted the game was lost when he brought Brunson in at the 5 minute mark when he should have kept him out to the 3 minute mark
