Could we at least see it with Deuce in the lineup? I think the Knicks have untapped scoring potential.

Imo I think our defense is a bigger problem than offense. And for what it’s worth, I believe the metrics say we’re even better offensively with Mitch on the court than with just KAT.

I also really like hart as a 6th man. Thats the Josh hart who we fell in love with.

Exactly this, we took away his energy by asking him to play starter minutes with high sprung activity
Putting him back in the bench role gives him the energy he needs

Made it to the ECF with him starting, and most importantly, it has caused you anguish. I think the second part has been the highlight of the season :o

Reaching the ECF will likely be sold as a L once the season is over. This isn’t about basketball. At least you get the impression every now and then.

The whole board knows what this is about.

At any rate, an overhauled team with 3 new starters and a suspect coach making it to the ECF in its first year? together. :o That's actually quite impressive....and this series isn't over yet.

We made it to the ECF because of Thibs coaching. He had to overcome the starting lineup being a negative for months. Now to see the front office and Thibs finally admit that KAT sucks on defense is the kiss of death for the KATgnani fans. Me and sham won again!

I’ll be surprised if KAT doesn’t have a good game today (like his game one performance).

I was thinking KAT on Nembhard and don’t give him space. Let him drive and try to make plays.

I'd rather that than giving up wide open 3s

Will starting Mitch be Thib's only adjustment? :dontknow:

Every shot on TV of him on the sideline last game looked like a guy waking up from a bender the night before and staggering on the sidewalk wondering how it got to be daylight. No fire. No comprehension. Just...puzzled. Almost puzzled he was actually in MSG. :violin:

If starting Mitch is the only tweak to things he has in his quiver, then it shows he's not the Coach we need going forward. :vent:

If he really studies film, he should have a range of options ready. Ready for THIS game, not next. In-Game adjustments. Don't let them roll up a 10 pt first quarter lead. No ten pt runs without calling a timeout. No having players drop to the paint while their man nails open 30 footers. Guard Nesmith and Siakaam. And no career highs for anyone else, please!!! :banghead:

If the rumor about his job being on the line, and he remains looking like a drunk deer staring into the Pacer's headlights tonight, he's done for.

But, Thibs is the one that started KAT at center, and kept him there, he also okayed the trade to get him. I enjoyed this season, and I also enjoyed watching you have a meltdown or as I'm going to start calling them a mel-down 8-)

Me enjoying 8 months of the season with the "fake contender" and "mid team" reaching the ECF

I dont care what anyone says, waiting to lose 2 games in a playoff series before you make the adjustment we all have been screaming for is coaching malpractice
If I waited for a patient’s disease to worsen before I tried to fix it, I’d be fired

These guys are paid millions of dollars, and if you make continual mistakes, you should be reprimanded or fired

In the Garden that night, looking at this piece of Sh** on the sidelines, he is truly lost
There is no Johnnie Bryant on the sidelines to help with rotations or substitutions. It’s on him, and you would think after being the league for 30+ years as an assistant himself and 3x head coach he would have a clue. He doesn’t. He gets lost when the lights get bright. When it pressure time, he has no idea. I keep screaming this over and over, the game has passed him by. He’s coaching for his job.

He better, he takes on the Donte role now, with floor spacing and shooting since Mitch will be in the dunker’s spot

DO NOT MAKE A SINGLE SUBSTITUTION UNTIL WE GET TO THE 5 MINUTE MARK OF THE FIRST

Agree. But we need to rebound like last year. It can't have all been Ihart. And KAT's rebound numbers are decent to good most times even if he looks super-akward doing it. Would it hurt to use Precious and/or Wright for 5 minutes to see what they can bring?

People who criticize Kat, Hart, Mikal, OG, or others seem to miss the point that relying on a single offensive strategy—having Brunson bring up the ball and run down the clock 85% of the time—doesn't cut it against elite teams. Brunson is amazing, but his flaws are defense and hero ball. In my opinion, this team flows best when the ball is moving. Most of us were extremely satisfied with how the Knicks played while Brunson was out. I'm not saying we're better off without him by any means, but Thibs either allows or dictates his star players to play this way year after year. Randle did it for years, and now Brunson does it.

The defense has all the time in the world to get set and comfortable while JB dribbles the air out of the ball, waiting for a teammate to set a screen for him in the final seconds of the shot clock. We should be in full attack mode every possession, but perhaps we can't do that because our starters would be too exhausted by the end of games to be effective. They already look tired as it is. Thibs really should have had the bench playing more meaningful minutes throughout the season to ensure those guys were prepared for the playoffs. Now they're all rusty as hell, sitting with bench sores, and the easy excuse is that they all just suck.

Thibs didn't okay the trade. And actually it was Rosas who pushed for the trade more than Leon. Word is that we only made the deal so we can trade him for Giannis.

But it's nice to see the front office give Thibs the green light to finally start Mitch. He actually said months ago that Mitch is our starting Center. Thibs was just following orders and did the best he can. 2x coach of the year for a reason.

You seeing the front office acknowledge KATgnani ain't it at the 5.

That's too much typing, I know you didn't enjoy the season which makes me happy. I'm having lamb over rice with white sauce and hot sauce for the game, I wont be part of your lies anymore so letting you know what I'm eating tonight is just as important, and you read this to this point further wasting your time, hence this little smiley 8-)
