The wording from Rich Paul sounds like him and LeBron are angling for a trade, could see him doing one or two more seasons on the east since it gives him his best shot to get to the championship

BREAKING: The U.S. District Attorney’s office is investigating Detroit Pistons guard Malik Beasley on allegations of gambling related to NBA games and prop bets, sources told ESPN. Serious development surrounding one of the top NBA free agents.

Dang, Knicks are going to be priced out of most players with the Taxpayer's MLE. I didn't think Beasley should be worth that much.

Gary Trent Jr is just about as good of a player, maybe better.

Remember we were saying on here like 2 years ago the NBA was gonna regret becoming bed buddies with all these gambling apps and now Malik Beasley faces the high probability of going to federal prison.

If he is guilty….

What a big dummy :nonono: There is no way he made close to the money he was about to make on that 3/42 contract.

If he is innocent he better do everything he can to get this cleared up so he can wrap that next contract up.

Randle back for 100 mio / 3 years. good for him and well earned. I don't get what Minnesota is doing longterm tho with him and Reid. Getting rid of Towns' salary, just to lock up a similar team right at the second apron w/o any picks or cap space coming up. I thought they would build on a younger timeline around Edwards. pretty good team, but no shot at beating OKC (and soon Houston/Spurs either).

$33 million a year for Randle's level of talent is like $10 million a year less than what he should get

I know part of it is the apron dictating what teams can pay players, but I feel like his reputation of being mentally combustible has teams hesitant in investing in him longterm

Randle finished the year really strong, but throughout the season, Minny fans saw a lot of the same things we saw with him

3 years at $33m a year feels very reflective of that. He is making much less money than OG

I think it's a fair deal for him. Also, no one has cap space besides Brooklyn so that probably affects things.

Once KD rejected Minnesota, I think this was the path forward.
